I know maine. It is the inbred redneck fuckhole of the northeast. You have to cross large amounts of it to get to civilization in Nova Scotia. I remember when I used to make trips up that way. It is the only state where they used to have randomly unpaved sections of roads. It wasn't that they were re-paving the roads. Nope, they just put up a sign that said pavement ends and that meant a huge dip, then miles upon miles of dirt road, and then the pavement would start up again. Most dirt roads are dirt road and not just randomly unpaved major roadways.

I was so happy when I would make it to Canada and be out of sister brother love country in the northeast.

Male Karens have always been Republicans. We already had a word for them, no reason to make a new one.

Uh, yeah, if you could just do this, so it doesn't look like we're doing exactly what we're doing now, that would be great.

As I read that, they didn't quit the department...just the team (which I assume is some version of SWAT).

Most of those cities have been run by Democrats for multiple decades. Some have been run by the Democrats for close to a hundred years.

But nice try making excuses for the Democrat party elite who run these cities.

It doesn’t matter. The problems are not specific to the city. The problems are at a federal level. Larger cities feel those problems more because, obviously, they have a higher population. Drop 15 million people in the middle of Iowa and you’ll have the same problems.

It's always entertaining when someone cites Shaun King. Like Trump, he's someone who always seems to "fail upwards". It's a long article, but details how King, who is biracial, has spent years making money off of people of color while promising them that he's going to put the money to improve their lot in life, and yet, somehow, being unable to accomplish this task. In short, he is no better than the Democrats that he condemns.

End the War on Drugs and you’ll see a hugely dramatic drop in the number of “bad cop” incidents.

Outlaw (or greatly neuter) police unions and you’ll see a further reduction of those incidents.

    Good riddance to bad rubbish

The video was there for all to see. The poor man was elderly and walking with a cane. If he refused to move(a big if), then they should have taken him by the arms and GENTLY maneuvered him away. Shoving him in the chest to where he falls down and hits is head is just pure evil. Any officer that thinks nothing should happen to those two should turn in their badge.

They’re still on the police force, just not on the “First Group to Club Civilians” team.

Not sure where you’re going here. So, to clarify, the number of police brutality incidents will go down because the number of excuses for targeting civilians will go down. Not because cops will suddenly see the error of their ways.

Yes, this I understand. But it is not the cause of police brutality.
brutality of any kind is a human trait. It is along the same lines a mob rule. You get two or more human beings together, and they have similar ideas, that gives them the idea “I am not alone.” It’s empowering. When those ideas are positive, positive things happen. When you have negative ideas, negative things happen.
cops who think they are in the right by cracking down on drugs, drug dealers, drug users, it’s empowering and they continue to do it.
it’s a psychological thing and the behavior can be changed when recognized.
however, I do agree that the war on drugs needs to end and “neutering” of police unions should happen.

Unfortunately the search for a root cause is always wasted effort unless you are willing to accept the problem is humanity.
