Trumpite Americans, when will you finally acknowledge your leader is a joke?

After dodging questions in Las Vegas yesterday about climate change vis-a-vis unprecedented wildfires in three states, Donnie-boy finally took his fat ass to CA for a briefing where his response to the catastrophe was "It'll get cooler. I know. I don't think science knows."

    This part is interesting...

It really shouldn't be all that hard to search the list of songs that BMI has, find the songs Trump wants to use and then ask permission from the songwriter. That's basic level staff work.

If you hired competent staff. Trump 101 is to hire the most backstabbing drama filled sycophants you can.

In my second business as a scenario game production company I had a partner who was lazy with certain things. I was not watching closely and he basically took the printed rules of another group and did a few edits and made it his. I should have known when he produced so much work so fast that he had done that. This is what happens when you get people who are more interested in their own things than doing the job right. Trumps people all have other ambitions and no one cares about some music rights.

It explains quite a lot. When he tells easily disprovable lies, he genuinely doesn't realise that's what he's doing.

He also has insisted, multiple times over the years, that he was "Michigan's Man of the Year."

That award doesn't exist, and nobody has even been able to find something that he could legitimately be thinking of and just have the wrong name for. But it's become a remarkably consistent part of the personal mythology that lives inside his brain, even to the point of the time frame incrementing upward (five years ago, seven years ago, etc.) the way a real memory would.

I think what probably happened is that one of the Scottish folk who attended his Q&A about his plans for his golf course (they were less than impressed with his answers) told him "ya look like tha fookin' Michelin Man" as an insult about his weight and he's too stupid to get it.

This is a weird thread. If someone who had no idea what is going on in the US would read it, they would come away with a pretty slanted viewpoint.

I get that Trump is a moron, in fact I agree with it. But I also know that not 100% of what he is doing is a complete disaster. This thread makes it seem like it, and therefore you fucksticks are less that objective, even though I'm sure everyone posting useless tweets think they're woke and enlightened.

If that's the best that can be said in his defense, then he is indeed "a joke" as President, so the thread remains valid. :bailey:

NY Times daily digest reports on last night's town hall meeting with Trump and undecided voters in Philadelphia. Considering that Philadelphia is the city where Santa Claus got booed at an Eagles' game it went about like you might expect. Afterward Laura Ingraham whined on Fox that ABC "ambushed" Trump.

President Trump doesn’t spend much time with voters who don’t already support him. As The Times’s Maggie Haberman puts it: “Trump, by only doing rallies and almost never doing town hall forums, has been insulated from the kind of voter interaction that usually help incumbents as they’re running. But he craves adulation and many of his aides enable it.”

Last night, though, the president traveled to Philadelphia for a town hall, broadcast by ABC, with voters who identified themselves as undecided. And he heard an earful.

The first question came from a 2016 Trump voter who said he was trying to take the coronavirus seriously and had to avoid people who refused to wear masks: “Why did you throw vulnerable people like me under the bus?” the man, Paul Tubiana, asked.

Another voter, Julie Bard, asked why Trump didn’t support a national mask mandate. A third asked why he downplayed the virus. Others asked about racial injustice, Trump’s attempts to take away health insurance from people and his unpresidential behavior.

“I think this is by far the toughest grilling Trump has faced as president,” CNN’s Daniel Dale, who has covered Trump extensively as a fact checker, wrote.

Trump responded with a flurry of falsehoods to defend himself. (Here is a Times fact check.) He blamed Joe Biden for the lack of a national mask mandate. Trump also said, “A lot of people think the masks are not good.” At different points, he downplayed the virus and said that he had “up-played” it.

He claimed he was beloved by South Koreans. (His recent approval rating there was 17 percent.) He said all Americans owned stocks. (About half do.) And he said the late John McCain, a war hero who was known in the Senate as an advocate for veterans, didn’t do enough for veterans.

“This is a president who still hasn’t adjusted to the fact that 2020 is not the year he wanted it to be,” Amy Walter of the Cook Political Report wrote.

The Times’s Trip Gabriel tweeted: “When @JoeBiden debates Trump, he’ll be faced with what’s on display tonight: rapid fire falsehoods, free-ranging personal attacks, over the top claims of his achievements.”

On Fox News, Laura Ingraham described the event as an “ambush” by ABC.

I would think you'd have to be illiterate or have some sort of mental impairment to be undecided at this point. But maybe there is a fine line between mild mental impairment (undecided) vs. significant/complete mental impairment (Trump voters).

Plenty of bad decisions were made, such as dismantling a pandemic action plan that several previous presidents had put in place, trying yet again to kill the ACA, and lying, lying, lying - about how bad it was, about how injecting bleach could cure it, ad infinitum, ad nauseam.

Nobody ever said that he wasn't a joke, but not being able to acknowledge the good policies that he has makes you a fucking idiot. There is more at stake than the parrots in the back row yelling over the crowd saying Trump is a joke. Some of his policies can be far reaching and a net positive. Such as getting Middle East countries on board with Israel for some structured deals so they can work better together. Reading through the last few pages of this thread, one would think it didn't happen, but everyone is so quick to point out all the dumb things he says, and rightly so. But, aren't there enough people with their blinders on?

Remember when John Kerry said there was be a complete disaster in the Middle East if the embassy were moved to Jerusalem? Gee, funny how everyone is ignoring that these days.

Yup. Just brutal leadership across the board. The action plan wouldn't have made a difference though. How many countries had a plan and still screwed it up?

The whole situation exposed how completely incompetent the majority of governments are.

This is a good example of what I mean, and why you are contributing to the problem. Yesterday and revolutionary peace deal was signed between Israel and a couple small countries in the Middle East. Not the big countries, not the important countries, but just a couple. Basically showing, hey maybe this has something behind it.

And yet if I go through this thread, all you, as one of the deranged Trump haters, are posting is this kind of bullshit. You literally refuse to acknowledge the important stuff, and just play on stupid media bullshit.

Basically showing that you are a deranged idiot that is so caught up in his blind hatred and distaste for Trump, that you are incapable of processing the news objectively, and looking at all scenarios and calling the good along with the bad. Page after page of this thread is full of bullshit like this from you.

You are part of the problem. The same problem that has existed for every President the last 20 years since the 24 hour news cycle became big. Turn off your fucking computer and go do something productive. Maybe tomorrow you won't come back with such a dumbshit attitude.

It is fucking hilarious how so many Trump haters are doing EXACTLY what the Obama haters did for years. Completely refuse to acknowledge anything that happened as a potential positive, and constantly focus on the negative.
