Putting this here to mitigate the unwieldiness of the civil war thread. Can Trump be tried in the Senate on impeachment charges even after he leaves office? Some experts say yes.
Ted Cruz sporting a beard is a reason to mock anyone who thinks a beard makes a person cool. If there was anything with hair Cruz should be forced to wear it would be a manbun.
regardless of whether the mob of rioters who breached the Capitol * are left, right or otherwise what this guy preached was sadly ironic: 1) they got their asses kicked whether literally (shot & killed) or figuratively in the form of legal action 2) their names were taken! * the peaceful protestors who did not storm/breach the Capitol are not lawbreakers. I saw the great footage of the mob "leader"? who announced that those who don't want escalated confrontation should stay behind. 99 percent stayed behind and the 1 percent made the news which is the situation in most protests that turn into riots/domestic terrorism.
Beards don't make a person cool. Cool people have beards. Unless you think ZZ Top isn't cool...in which case, you're beyond reason.
That said ZZ Top drummer Frank Beard is the sole member who throughout the band's existence has rarely sported a beard. Being ironic before it was cool to be ironic?
One of the late show hosts -- I forget which -- hit it on the head when they called him an alcoholic werewolf caught in mid-transformation.
Pentagon and DC officials trade barbs over handling of Capitol riot as Army considers arming National Guard in city (msn.com) interesting development especially with the 2021 version of "the summer of love" coming up in a few short months. Will the Capitol riots be a wakeup call for the Federal government/DC police/local police in (fill in the blank) and any other law & order agencies that deal with civil unrest? Granted Joe Biden might have a "unity" agenda but to be honest I just don't see that happening overnight even within the Democratic party - the ruling party - itself. If the ruling party can't get and stay focused and interface effectively with the various peacekeeping/law enforcement agencies Joe might have to outsource the job to "outside assistance" which some Democrats and liberals would accept if not encourage. Moderate Democrats would be appalled at America not being willing nor able to handle our own problems, but would that paint them as an "America first" party? But back to thread comment subject matter: What say you wordforge? Is arming the National Guard a good idea or a bad idea considering the shitstorm we just experienced? Bear in mind during the next similar incident it may involve a mob with a different political viewpoint & motivation.
That headline is not what the linked article says. According to the article, a solid majority of those who voted for him disapprove of what happened, but only 24% of Republicans want him removed from office.
I'm just a big fan of hygiene is all. if I wanted to save snot and crumbs, I'd... nope, can't come up with a reason to save snot and crumbs.
I feel ya... and now that middle age is starting to spawn me a bit of a wattle. But fuck it... like the grey hair (chrome accents, bitches!!!) I'm just embracing the droops and lines.
