I'm not one to post lengthy Youtube videos (like some posters here) but this is definitely 13 minutes worth every American's time.

Think you pay low taxes?

Think you have the best health care in the world?

Think you have a good quality of life?

Think you have a good transportation system?

People should be storming Congress, but not because of some half-baked conspiracy theories or to save a has-been realty TV star's presidency.

They should be electing reasonable people to Congress.

Agree. I would prefer the ballot box over the cartridge box. Granted they didn't use guns to storm the Capitol, but another group might, and it's not a good idea.

Well...technically, the Civil War was the second American revolution.
It was just that it was started by racist pieces of shit, and they thankfully lost.
We just didn't break and humiliate them enough afterward.
They bought their way out of their proper punishment with sleazy political chess over a deadlocked election.

One thing I am sick of since I am down here in floriduh right now is twatty canadians saying how america is so terrible when half of you stupid fuckers are here. Evidently there is still something just fine about america when the people who have a chance to come here are flocking here like snowbirds.

Those of us who are born here with no chance to go away pretty much have to suck it up like the poor people of any other country. But when your richest people are fleeing your country in droves to be in a disease infested shithole like florida there has to be something wrong with where you are.

What is it about Canadia that sucks so much that in the middle of a crazy pandemic they are running down here when they are going to have to pay top dollar for getting sick and be quarantined on returning? Why are you here on our lines to get the fucking covid vaccine when your country is handing it out for free?

I am serious, from what I have heard of Canada I cannot figure out why in hell you would cross the border at this time. If I had money and was canadian I would be sitting at home with some coco and enjoying some netflix and nothing could get me to go to the trump loving covid spewing apocalypse that is the US aside from perhaps rabid yeti's, Canadian godzilla, or everything being beiberized.

Agreed, but the current system is not really designed to allow for "reasonable people" to be elected.

There are a lot of politicians who have made decades-long careers out of gerrymandering, lobbying and corruption.

Therefore, the system needs to be changed.

Because it is full of human beings.

I mean, yeah, Medicare for All, paid family leave, etc.

But what's the solution to moving our stagnant politics? We have a Democratic trifecta right now and we're still poised to get little to none of these.

The western and eastern seaboards of the United States are welcome to join Canada. In fact, the population of those areas is such that you'd quickly overwhelm us so it's more like we would be joining you. Essentially, you'd have a giant horseshoe-sized country.

The middle of America can turn into a giant waste dump where we put all our trash and nuclear waste.

I had some friends in the Midwest. If we can extricate them first, I'm with you.

More to the point, the people who benefit from it being the way it is are really good at marketing.

For all of it's problems I like america. I like the idea of america. The trumpistas are going to have to fight for america. Really, they are losing. Maybe they could be losing a lot quicker, but in a relative sense we have done a lot more in a shorter amount of time than other nations and empires. Not all of it is good, but we are switching to better far faster than states that have been around for many more centuries than we have. How long did it take the countries of europe to stop slavery? How long did it take them to recognize the people better than royalty? How is that pedophelia thing going over there, and how long have other nations fought against sexual slavery?

All decent people on both sides of the border hate snowbirds with good reason.
