If original recipe covid really was created in a lab, why would the scientific community in general want to cover that up? Wouldn't that knowledge be a huge advantage for the researchers around the world working on treatments and vaccines for it? Why would every other country in the world go along with the cover up? Are Japan and the Phillipines and Norway worried about people being mad at China?

My theory? we were funding gain of function research, but snuck the money in in a way that Fauci could say we weren't, something happened and it got out. They don't want us to know we were funding it and China sure a shit doesn't want to admit they unleashed a pandemic on the world, especially if they were working on a bio-weapon behind our backs.

Although the Wuhan lab leak remains an unproven possibility, I don't know that these emails tell us anything new.

Every other country doesn't have to go along with it, there just needs to be a few people.

We don't know if it came out of the lab or not. A lot of people suspect it though.

So after reading the info posted I'm not seeing what the deal is here? Some people thought it might have been from a lab and there was disagreement about that? I remember 2020 and this isn't new, debate on this happened at the time.

So what's the story here? That Fauci didn't treat some peoples suspicions as the gospel truth without additional evidence?

Yep. Russia's the big one. Russia has every incentive to not cover up for either the US or China. If they can get them at each other's throats, so much the better. That this isn't happening is a pretty strong indication that the truth is elsewhere.
