Wordle

Anyone playing? I discovered it a few weeks ago and am addicted.

I play it most days. I usually forget until prompted by someone posting their result on Twitter.

Someone needs to explain this thing.

Played a lot of mastermind growing up. The word game aspect is fun!

Was pretty confident at guess #3; I couldn't think of another word that would fit.

Holy crap! Your starting word was BRINK?!?

All too easy.

I've gotten it in one maybe three(?) times.

Usually the best I do is like today.

Catastrophe today. Got into that scenario where there were just three possible words and it took me three guesses to get it.

Shoulda thought harder about guess #3. The correct word was a more logical guess.

I used to have a particular word I’d start with because it has enough variety of vowels and consonants to give you a good idea of how to go forward.

Lately I’ve just been using random five-letter words to start and overall my results have been better.

I'll say! You've racked up several 2's recently.

I took a page from @shootER 's book and went with a different starting word to mix it up a little. I don't know that it helped on this particular occasion, but my usual go-to starting words wouldn't have been better.

My guess at #4 was brilliant, but I shoulda went for a more common word.

Yesterday's was a trainwreck; I got it in 6.

Good comeback today, though:

Same.

Given the vowels I had at guess 1, guess 2 was a bad choice. Shoulda used the same vowels in different locations.

I changed up my start word today. Probably kept me from getting it in 3.

A fantastic guess on #3 saved it.

Not too bad. The letters I got on the first guess didn't narrow it down, but my second guess made me pretty confident on guess #3.
