It seems Putin is a bit touchy about the "war criminal" label.

This is what the Nuremberg Tribunal had to say.

"War is essentially an evil thing. Its consequences are not confined to the belligerent states alone, but affect the whole world. To initiate a war of aggression, therefore, is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole"

    Suck it, Vlad.

Are you suggesting that we shouldn't believe anything broadcast on Russian state media?

    I'm shocked. Shocked, I say!

Most encouraging snippet of Mr. Hertling's analysis: Many military analysts are suggesting RU offense is "culminating." That military term means RU can't sustain their offense, so they must transition to defense. Not good, as the defender becomes static, can be attacked but still must keep supply lines open. This would also suggest a los of initiative. When you're just sitting around waiting to react to what your enemy is going to do, it's a recipe for losing.
Most discouraging snippet: While UKR has stockpiles of equipment - and they are getting more from the west - it will be increasingly tougher to locate those supplies where they need it. And there will be competing demands for the civilians, as refugee flow increases & cities are targeted. As long as Russian forces are willing to continue to indiscriminately murder civilians, they will have an advantage. However, I wonder if anyone has any insight as to just how long the Russian Army can keep it up. It's not something I would think professional soldiers find that distasteful and beneath them, but that raises the question of just how professional the Russian Army is and whether at some point, their performance might fall even further. :chris:

I guess it kinda makes sense with twitters limit on characters and whatnot, but I'm becoming increasingly irritated with all those little flags in twitter posts; it seems so fucking infantile, like the Emoji-filled Facebook post of friends of mine who have decided they now work as a "coach" for whatever.

Yeah I'm probably just getting old.

I don't even know more than two flags! I don't know what these other ones are supposed to be.

The DB doesn’t do Unicode. The other flags in that thread are Sweden, Finland, Germany.

First batch of Russian cosmonauts just docked at the ISS since the Ukraine war.

Someone needs to form their own colony, because they are going straight to the gulag upon getting back.
