So, all that will happen by banning abortion is a boom in kids born to atheists, minorities and the Left. Those kids aren't gonna thank you for the economic straits you threw their parents into. The other side of 'Replacement Theory' is that very few people immigrate from Europe to the US these days. In 1965, it was over 80%. Now it's around 20%. Why? Our right wing. They've been successful in blocking legislation that would help Americans. So why would you go to a country without UHC, without free higher education, where you get less paid time off work and no paternity leave? Where your chances of dying in a mass shooting sky rocket? It's literally the right wing that stops sane Europeans from wanting to live here.
You forgot to mention that not only is it likely abortion will be banned in much of the US (if not all of it, along with contraception), but also the right to privacy is under attack in the US. You know all those annoying pop-ups telling you about the cookies a website collects? Those are there because European law requires it as a privacy protection. You know what part of Alito's justification for overturning Roe is? The Constitution doesn't mention that abortion is a right. He also says the same thing about privacy. How long do you think it will be before the entire concept of a right to privacy gets tossed out? Without a significant change to the composition of SCOTUS, that's going to be sooner, rather than later. Yeah, that'd strike me as a deal killer if I was looking to move to the US from Europe.
I do hope people realize during the abortion fight that we need to start legalizing many things we do with out bodies. Your body, your choice to get fucked up. That does not mean it is an excuse to break the law and rules of public. And this goes to the reality that if you start cracking down on this shit you are going to end up cracking down on all shipping and interstate commerce, and they are not going to like what is required to actually ban abortion in the present day. You second amendment guntards better start waking the fuck up. Because when they start checking packages for pills and cars for pills and people traveling out of state to get something illegal in that state they are going to catch you and any gun mods that might be semi legal. Do you think the police are going to just let that bump stock, expanded magazine, modified automatic rifle, or other contraband go while they are searching to determine if there are abortion meds, equipment, doctors, or passengers traveling? Think about what this is going to look like to enforce. There is no glowing sign a woman is pregnant over them. I drove my best friend's mom to the hospital while she was in labor and we were both shocked she had a baby. This is as teenagers and seeing this woman all the time. How are we going to catch this shit? You can't keep guns, alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs out of the hands of children in their parents home and schools where you can search without trouble. How the fuck are you going to stop abortion today? The only thing you might do is make it a bit unsafe. The abortions that will be the most unsafe are the ones where the mother is in danger. Those are the ones we should be excusing. The normal abortions for getting pregnant are done by pills or in a common medical procedure that is safer than childbirth. Yes, stupid people will resort to bad methods, but this isn't the 1970's. We have the internet now. The younger people use the internet the best. You are going to have to set up stings and try to catch abortion medicine providers. You could barely stop fake pot and drugs. We are running out of funding and tolerance for the expensive war on drugs. Now they want a war on abortion? So you are going to ask tax payers to fund police to start trying to investigate their consensual relationships to find pregnancies? Then we are going to have to hold the mom prisoner forever? Just think about the costs. You are going to have a country full of abortion prisons full of healthy decent women who we are going to have to feed and shelter. How is that going to work?
