On D+ Story of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson and their contributions to the Mercury program. Of course, these were three Black women in Virginia, at the dawn of the 60s. Nothing too in depth about the larger struggle for civil right, but a few good examples like Katherine Johnson having to be the single Black person in her building and the lack of facilities (not to mention, respect) impeding her, or Mary Jackson having to sue to get into the appropriate specialized courses when the goal posts to join the engineering dept got moved back. I don't know how much truth there was to Dorothy Vaughn's eureka moment with "the IBM", but suspect there's more than a few grains of truth. They've also got a decent mini series of the Mercury seven, so this made a good companion.
