David Warner gone at 80. https://kdvr.com/news/nationalworld...r-who-starred-in-the-omen-titanic-dies-at-80/
My favorite role of his was Evil in "Time Bandits". Followed by Jack The Ripper in "Time After Time". Followed by Gul Madred in "Chain Of Command Part II".
Oh man , David Warner's death REALLY SUCKS. Last thing I expected to see on the main Yahoo! page this morning. He was a great actor & character actor. He played so many cool & interesting characters throughout his career. RIP David Warner , you're one of the greatest.
He's also been the Doctor. Well, an alternate version: Edit, for context he's a "what if the Third Doctor was delayed reaching Earth for his exile until 1997" version. Earth had to deal with a load of the shit Pertwee helped with without him, so when he DOES show up UNIT has been downsized because the Brig had to use extreme measures to cope and thus destroyed any evidence of what actually happened, so their funding was cut. The Brig himself was fired. Oh, and the Master is trapped on this Earth too.
Some eulogies from those who worked with him at Big Finish (they make a lot of audio dramas, including the Doctor Who audios I mentioned above - but I forgot he also played Steel in their version of Sapphire and Steel - a role previously played by David McCallum AKA Illya Kuryakin AKA Ducky from NCIS):
