That was at least kind of the thesis of the article. I don’t think they took it all they way to cops, but they did to J6.

Feeling good about yourself should not require anyone else's participation, and compelling it is out of the question.

And? Where did the meme say anything about “compelling” people?

It would be implied by any retaliatory or punitive actions. "Play along or else" is an attempt to compel.

Uncle Albert: "If other people's actions affect you, that's your problem, not theirs."

Also Uncle Albert: Constantly bitches about how other people's actions affect him like it's their problem, not his.

Posting on a message board is constantly bitching? Maybe if the internet is your entire existence.

It's hard to deny that most mass shootings are due to people who believe so deeply in something, usually religion based, that they are willing to commit massive atrocities. The meme is on point. Just the wrong gun shown in the pic. If most gun owners even just acknowledged this much, it would go more toward safe gun laws while allowing for the second amendment than anything presented thus far.

If said message board posts are constant and bitchy in nature, then yes.

Hmm, now that I think about it, my knuckles do kind of look like dicks. I never noticed that before. Anyway, I accept this new nickname as valid.

I think you're replying to the wrong post, because I was talking about attack helicoptors.

And no, I cannot refute what you speculate to be inside someone else's head. My own speculation is that it's mostly just entitled shitbags who convince themselves they are owed something they have not been given. Happiness, inclusion, affection, validation, etc.

Two consecutive quarters of negative growth has been the traditional definition. I know you and Biden like to play definition games so you don’t have to actually take responsibility for anything, but that’s it.

Going off on a tangent here, but ... what is your deal with Bailey? His posts are clear, mostly concise, and I have not noticed any lies or deceptions or word games in his posts. Your posts, on the other hand, are chock full of them. So ..., seriously, what is your deal with Bailey?

Hmmm. I guess I missed where the meme mentioned retaliation or punitive actions. To me it seems to be someone realizing that they have been a dick to folks minding their own business and now feels sorry about it.

No I like to check definitions so we're on the same page. And last time I looked at the numbers was a few days ago when I read the article you posted which was predicting a global recession in 2023, but annual (albeit reduced) growth for the USA in 2022 and 2023.

Looking into it seems like you're correct about the two quarters being down, but that the US doesn't traditionally just use the definition but a broader one:

Should the issues escalate further it seems like those months would be definitely recognised as the start. However the other current conditions, particularly the fact that supply chain issues are a large contributor, means there is debate on whether conditions meet the traditional meaning of the term. Employment numbers and consumer demand particularly don't seem to be matching that traditional understanding of recession conditions.
