Which points to it NOT being political.

From a political standpoint the Dems WANT Trump to announce before the midterms. They want to turn this into a referendum on Trump and not Biden. Think 2018 where Trump is on the ballot for Dems but not actually on the ballot so the MAGAtards don’t fully show.

Not to mention that before this the enthusiasm factor was moving in the Dems direction. First the Jan 6th Committee, then the shootings, then Dobbs, now the Dems actually getting shit done.

Attacking Trump HURTS the Dems politically both because it antagonizes/energizes the R base and distracts from the wins the Dems are racking up.

If what is posted upthread is true, they gave Trump a tremendous amount of leeway. If I should ever be suspected of a crime, I hope that the politically motivated law enforcement agency coming after me tells me that they suspect me of a crime, give me an opportunity to avoid being charged by allowing me plenty of lead time to make amends (where making amends is super-easy to do).

So your position is that the Biden Administration, contrary to their pledge to return the DOJ to political non-interference should have access to all DOJ investigations and stepped in and stopped the DOJ from investigating National Security crimes purely on on political grounds?

    That is your position?

That Biden and Garland should use the DOJ as a partisan tool?

That Justice SHOULDN’T actually be blind, but instead should be based on how pissed off MAGAtards will get and how that will impact the next election?

That is what you think Justice should be based on?

I thought Republicans were the party of law and order, backing the blue and such? Why would they be pissed off about a search warrant being executed where almost everyone that has to sign off on it was a Trump appointee? Why would Republicans be pissed off about the authorities investigating someone when they were telling BLM that everyone should peacefully cooperate with the authorities at all times and wait for their day in court so the truth can come out? :chris:

That someone else expresses an opinion similar to yours doesn't validate your opinion.

Again, if what has been posted in this thread and elsewhere is true, Trump was visited first by people from the National Archives seeking the return of documents that he wasn't supposed to have taken. An informant tells law enforcement that he secreted away a number of documents from their prying eyes. Then he's subpoenaed and refuses to honor his subpoena for MONTHS. He retained some number of classified documents and was letting God knows who have access to them.

If anything, they gave him tremendous leeway.

Anyone who ever complained about anything having to do with Hillary's e-mails who doesn't also see that what Trump allegedly did was highly illegal should explode from all that hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance.

What the fuck are you even trying to say BJ?

Here, I’ll make it simple for you:
Should DOJ investigations be based on political factors or facts?

This is shit the Confederates and Nazis would do.
I mean, before they just started killing people.
Demand the opposition be as pure as unicorns, while they get to be blood drenched scum.
Then if you call them out on being blood drenched scum "oh yeah? Well you looked at a picture of a boobie once! You aren't perfect either! :bailey:".
    Same shit, different century.

Because you don't pay attention. I'm a truth seeker and I will defend anyone regardless of political affiliation if I think they are being truthful. I don't vote for sides, I vote for the person and I'm perfectly capable of thinking Trump is a shitty person and yet still acknowledge his very few accomplishments like rushing the Covid vaccine. Most people can't do that because they have blinders on. I have acknowledged Democrats' accomplishments from time to time. You people just choose not to see it because it's easier to just fling insults and be douche bags. Not you in particular, but a lot of others.

Republican rhetoric about the search, like that spouted by our own GOP delegate here, has claimed its first victim.

The suspect who attacked the FBI field office in Cincinnati has been killed by law enforcement, according to two officials familiar with the matter. His name is Ricky Walter Shiffer. He was at the Capitol on Jan. 6. @NBCNews

Thankfully it was only a traitor that died.

So far. There will be more.
