Turned out to just be a unprovoked preemptive declaration of shamelessness.

These snowflakes have gotten themselves worked up (to be fair RW media is far from blameless) to the point where leaving them alone isn’t enough. You have to go out of your way to make it clear that all that they are and all that they believe are just fine. There is nothing wrong with them. They are perfect. They demand it.
