Newest conspiracy theory on the search:

    LTC Steve Murray
You are being played folks. This is rhetoric to disband the FBI and push the rank and file to the IRS. Bards was right about this one. Cuomo, Pence, McCarthy and crew wouldn't be talking about disbanding the FBI in unison unless there is an agenda and I think Bards calls it out. Remember all of the talking heads are controlled by the highest bidder. It is no coincidence all of the rhetoric changed on a dime. The FBI knew EXACTLY WHAT WOULD HAPPEN. This isn't a botched raid, this is a planned catalyst. The IRS doesn't rely on due process like the FBI and DOI, they operate with their own courts and laws. They can seize assets and confiscate everything you have without a second thought. You have NO recourse. Cuomo wouldn't say a word about Trump or a raid. Think about it. You are being played. The FBI does need to be disbanded and so does the IRS.

Man they are REALLY hung up on the IRS thing. I seem to remember someone here parroting that BS…

Oh, the truth isn't important here. Those 87,000 personnel aren't all being hired in one go, some of them are meant to replace expected losses and they aren't all agents (most are support staff i.e. IT). And even if they were, only Special Agents are armed.

And yet we're hearing cries of a new 87,000-strong army coming for the little folk RIGHT NOW with AR-15s.

    It’s from the Q board I follow.

If you want to know what FF will be saying next week follow the Q talk. That’s about how long it takes to filter down.

They do have their own courts, but it’s a speed thing, so that your case can be handled faster than it would going through the regular system. Additionally, the judges are more familiar with tax law, don’t have to spend time getting up to speed on it.

Interesting because I was just reading how Rand Paul used to describe Trump as Gollum, will I get to let the whole burn all for his precious. Now Paul is fighting for him. I prefer to sue for peace.

    How do you mean?

What benign intent do you think Trump might have that would not make it unlawful for him to have retained possession of items that were classified in the first place, that he didn't return when the national archivists came calling, that he didn't return when the items were subpoenaed?

One thing that makes motive so hard to discern is Trump's extreme level of emotional immaturity.

If a previous president with criminal tendencies -- say, Nixon -- had been caught with boxes full of classified material, it would have been obvious that he intended to do something with them. Because while Nixon may have been many things, he was not stupid, nor did he do things without some kind of logical reason.

But Trump has the temperament of a 2-year-old, so it's not hard to imagine him stomping angrily around the White House on January 19 and yelling "I'm taking that with me! And that! and that!" ... and then continuing to insist on hanging onto the boxes out of nothing more than his usual Oppositional Defiant Disorder.

Which is not to say that the situation couldn't have also been manipulated by a smarter person who wanted to get their hands on that information, or by Jared hoping to trade it for Saudi money, or whatever ... but I can believe that the former Toddler-in-Chief didn't necessarily have a plan in mind.

I believe that the Devil doesn’t need or deserve an advocate because he is the fucking Devil!

But a point was brought up in Lawfare’s Emergency podcast that was something I hadn’t considered.

Due to Trump’s obsession with reversing everything Obama did he was obsessed with both North Korea and Iran. Two countries with active nuclear programs. It is entire possible that he took his Kimmy and/or Iran files which would have info on their nuclear programs.

So it is possible he did have files of classified nuclear secrets that weren’t actually our nuclear secrets.

Whole podcast is worth a listen. They had one of the two co-heads of the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s email server as a special guest so some good insight into these types of investigations.

Nixon was indeed not stupid and I’ll say Hillary isn’t either and I don’t think either one of them would sell highly classified nuclear secrets. If NK or the Saudis did get some information, then I guess we’ll find out when something gets bombed. Hopefully he just held on to this stuff out of pure stubbornness.

I will add that my comparison between Nixon and Trump in terms of their criminality is flawed because, despite his myriad psychological problems, Nixon actually was a patriot to some degree, while Trump is constitutionally incapable of caring about, or even sustaining more than momentary interest in, anything other than himself.

Trump would sell out the country, or even his own family, without a second thought, as long as it benefited him personally to do so.

Random thought here: Was listening to Pandora earlier and Bad Religion’s American Jesus came on. That song was written during the Reagan years, but it made me think of Trump.

Wait. So you’re telling me that picking your lawyer off of OAN isn’t the best idea?

Next you’ll tell me picking your Comms Dir off of Fox News isn’t a very stable genius idea either.

I have a rough working hypothesis that while the public story is that the were tipped off by someone near him (which logically would quite possibly be a secret service agent) which is why they subpoenaed the video it MAY be that counter intelligence may have discovered something already in the wild that can be traced back to him.

I mean, It really hasn't been true since Newt arrived, but if one kept believing "both parties are basically the same" over the last six years, that's not an assessment of the situation, it's a statement of faith no different than "Jesus is coming back for his church someday"

I think I read that only something like 3% of agents are armed, and they are people that deal with crimes like money laundering and so forth.
