Naturally, I had to point out that Cypher later went on to betray everyone because he preferred the illusion over reality, and that the Wachowskis have said that the movie was an allegory about being trans. (And, let's be honest, Libertarians really aren't fans of trans people.)

That said, he's completely full of shit on this one because Alaska's ballot in this election could not be exhausted (unless you wanted to write in more than one candidate). Palin lost because enough people who voted first for a Republican put the Democrat 2nd and her 3rd. So this time the system worked as intended.

All you need to do is see how it's going in Jackson MS to have a view of what happens when the government makes it a long term ambition to not help.

This man is a United States senator. He holds one of the highest elected offices in the country, and was voted in by a significant number of constituents in his state. He posted this while his state is going through one of the worst water crises in decades. Jackson, the state's capital city, currently doesn't even have clean drinking water.

He's not a U.S. Senator - he got VERY close to beating Thad Cochran in 2014 until Democrats rallied to save Cochran with cross-over voting because we're not insane enough to let McKlaniel win.

Also, he's allowed to be chair of a state senate committee relevant to the flooding issues on the Pearl (I'd have to look up the specific committee name) and has never called a single meeting in reference to that issue because local GOP pols won't abide any flood control measures that doesn't create valuable lakefront property for them and their pals.
