So Wikipedia says the outcome was a failure. That men couldn’t defeat a herd of Emus. But I personally choose to see it as a success. That 20,000 dinosaurs successfully fought off the criminal, whoristic descendants of the rats that used to eat their eggs.

Real talk, I thought they typically waited 90 days to coronate a new monarch though?

I mean, I assume Charlie Boy is one of, if not the oldest person to ascend to the throne in British history but if he's waited this long another few weeks won't hurt.

Elizabeth waited over a year for her coronation. No telling what Charlie will do. He's still probably got time to sort it out.

The Brits are more sensible about such things: they don't waste any time telling the old Prime Minister to get out. I think they head for 10 Downing St. as soon as the new PM is named. When the monarch passes, the heir-apparent automatically and immediately is name King/Queen. The coronation is just a formality, albeit an extravagant one.

She certainly had a good sense of humor about the mayor of Portland getting tear gassed.
