You probably need an explanation of this insanity. Here in america our right wing does not directly ask the other side what they think. Instead they ask people like Fucker Carlson or Alex Jones what liberals and lefties think. They tell people like @TheLonelySquire that anyone that is not a wackydoodle republican lunatic eats babies and wanted the trade centers blown up because satan. Why ask the actual people how they feel, or even believe your eyes and ears when you saw people on the left crying, hurting, and angry at the attackers that day and beyond. You have a whole anti-muslim movement in the democrat party headed by Bill Maher who thinks every muslim is a source of evil and has said things as vile about them as any right winger, but that does not exist to TLS and the Qtards.

However, TLS never checks reality, and only looks to lord xenu fucker carlson to tell him about the thetans and satanic panic.

As for 9/11 pity party celebration day, just avoid cable and satellite TV and you might actually miss it as in it passing without the drama llamas. The only reason I knew today was 9/11 was because I heard the bitching from the TV at the hospital when I visited my dad who just had a stroke.

I actually waited and asked the doctor if stress was a factor in having a stroke, and he said yes. Then I started talking to him about 9/11 and watched the electric monitors on my dad start flashing yellow and red. The idiot doctor was wondering what was bothering my father at the moment. I, however, ceased my experiment and have decided I cannot talk about politics as much with dad anymore, and have to somehow convince him to pay less attention to it, and more attention to something else.

na... I was too busy working an online crisis hotline, helping folks panicking about loved ones in NYC and DC, and what was yet to happen.

Then I had to pick my partner's kid up from her school because the world was ending. I did a lot of "bad motorcyclist" type driving because every other parent/guardian had the same thought.

All the while fearing the scope and range of the attacks myself as we've got some pretty juicy targets to fly a plane into here. If they could hit the Pentagon, then an approach along University Ave to Queen's Park wouldn't have been unrealistic. Even missing would take out any of a number high value targets.

yup, our generation's Pearl Harbor. (Made all the more ironic because of the potential for "they knew it was coming/let it happen" aspects of both events)

for tone deafness, we truly get a coke vs. pepsi trivializing of the imagery.

As to the Alamo reference, I think that applies best to the Flight 97 (or whatever number it was) and the legend of the passengers fighting back. People love a good last stand/fought to the last man story, even if there isn't a plausible observer that survived to tell that story...

The idea that there were large numbers of people rejoicing was all lies and complete bullshit. At the time terrorists like khadaffi were saying that was too far. I actually think it might have been too shockingly successful. When the towers fell there were probably a lot of muslim radicals who knew the shit was hitting the fan. Yes, there were probably a bunch of crazies, but what was coming was obvious. I wenty to my job later that day and I worked with a pakistani guy and he was legitimately afraid of the racist backlash that would come for him despite the fact he loved america for the freedoms it gave his wife and daughters and was glad to be here.

He was just one of the many muslims I worked with, and there was also panic in the sikh and hindu people also. The idea that liberals and worldly people were cheering for the attack on christian america, which is what it became despite NYC and the trade centers having nothing to do with WAPSy bullshit, is complete bullshit. Only a person with their head up their christian nationalist ass would say such a thing. Jews in westchester and putnam county NY were consoling muslims and saying they would protect them. I was in the IT industry in the northeast working for IBM's commercial IT contracting department. There were tons of middle eastern people working around me. No one was cheering because everyone knew the racial hate that was coming.

The people who were cheering were the jingoistic warmongers on the christian right who were thrilled were were going to glass the middle east. The people who actually seemed happy were right wing warhawks who were hoping to see some destruction. They took to the hate with a certain zeal and joyful excitement because they knew they were let off the leash. I imagine the people in the rural red areas were a bit annoyed they did not have many local people to terrorize. However, in the northeast there was a happy racist rage against the muslim community that I saw first hand.

I know no one is going to read this, but I will say it anyway. I knew a lot of jewish and muslim people who were connected with Isreal and the middle east at the time of the attacks. In the IT community around NYC Jews, Muslims, and americans all worked together because they were all doing the computer work for the international sector around NY. Of course there was also every other nationality around because NY was a hub, and the trade centers were a place everyone worked together.

In all honesty @TheLonelySquire would have hated the trade centers because you had to respect all people and the more you knew and appreciated other cultures and people, the more money and worth you had in them. Taking down the trade centers was not an attack on red meat america. Taking down the trade centers was an attack on the liberal corporations that threatened conservative religious terrorists. I am not saying corporations are liberal, but they are not religious conservative. I have worked for orthodox muslims and even the hacidic and orthodox jews in companies and they are nowhere near as awful as the american right wing.

It really pisses me off that the religious christian right has adopted the 9/11 pity party rally and celebration to fuel their hate because none of their bible belt fascist city hating and elite hating asses would have ever loved those people in the towers. The people in the towers were the liberal elites they hate so much, and they use their deaths to incite their own attacks on the very communities that lost people that day.

It is fucking sick and disrespectful. Not a single gravy seal, redneck, farmboy, red state white nationalist was killed that day, or was even a target. NYC is the yankee capital of the world and the confederate motherfuckers who hate them use their deaths as some sort of an excuse to be racist against muslims and it is awful.

They should will Smith slap the 9/11 out of the mouths of every white nationalist american.

I find that the vast majority of the "Rah! Rah! USA all the way!" types never bothered to put on a uniform themselves.

The draft went away nearly 50 years ago and we've had open tryouts ever since.

If they love their country so much, why didn't they raise their right hands?

They are also blindly stupid and adhere to Fox News propaganda that the left is destroying America. So, since this board is 80% (according to him) left leaning, then we all applaud the loss of life that day.

He's a moron and incapable of thinking for himself.
