Stop trying to gaslight people. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Floyd_protests https://www.axios.com/2020/09/16/riots-cost-property-damage https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...orge_Floyd_protests_in_Minneapolis–Saint_Paul https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Floyd_protests_in_Seattle https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/ca...e-dozens-arrested/UGLTZPH2RZCOTDSX35Q2LNHAXI/ I can go on if needed, but hopefully you get the point. The destruction was real, it really did happen.
Holy fuck Fox REALLY got to the rubes didn’t they? According to AAA Seattle was so destroyed that it was the NUMBER ONE TOURIST DESTINATION IN THE UNITED STATES FOR LABOR DAY. Let me repeat that for those in the back. SEATTLE WAS THE NUMBER ONE TOURIST DESTINATION IN THE UNITED STATES FOR LABOR DAY. Once more for those with room temperature IQs. SEATTLE WAS THE NUMBER ONE TOURIST DESTINATION IN THE UNITED STATES FOR LABOR DAY. https://www.king5.com/article/trave...avel/281-5ad5c7d1-f3d2-4c81-92f4-0f1ec3c21cbb
Yet again you've decided to deflect instead of addressing what I said in my post. Why is that? Because you have nothing.
Literally no one is sayin there wasn't damage caused during the riots that summer. They're disputing that "entire cities burned to the ground" which is a common thing that has been said by folks on the right Man @Bill Carson why are you the only person here who has to have things explained to him like a child
Okay, so... NATIONALLY not in the two cities cited. fires were set by "rioters" no word which side they were on though. well, other than the umbrella dude mentioned and as a matter of record.... at least they mention the attempted murder of a protester by a cop... amazing how that might incite a mob.
Oh you want the two cities cited? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenosha_unrest I already mentioned Seattle.
If there are zero examples of your desired rules for society working that's fine, there has to be a first for everything after all and as you point out a lack of supporting evidence doesn't prove a claim to be false. However what it does mean is that when you treat your desired libertopia as the clearly obvious superior choice, repeatedly getting angry at anything which doesn't match up to it, you should maybe focus instead on helping people understand how you think it would actually work. You can make the case that you don't judge the success of morally correct libertarian laws by the societal outcomes, however if a stable society can't exist with those laws then they won't be in place for long.
You complain about people not engaging with the arguments you make, but then treat any engagement which disagrees with your conclusions or logic as a personal attack.
so definitely a LOT less than the $2B in insurance claims in the first entry... and again, notably, there's little to no specificity to which group of rioters destroyed what.
Learn to read before stumbling into a conversation. We're specifically talking about Seattle, not nationally. Was Seattle destroyed, yes or no?
Specifically about how a bunch of libertarians are walking away from the Libertarian party because of its embrace of Trumpism, including things like attacks on trans people.
Not at all, we should continue making this thread about the Libertarian party and how many of those identifying as Libertarians are actually Trumpists.
More mainstream news sources are starting to pick up the story: Libertarian political candidates are dropping out. Entire Libertarian state parties are dissolving. It's the result of an intra-party battle between an old guard and a new hard-right faction that swept internal elections this year: https://twitter.com/kellyweill/status/1575472942762364928?s=46&t=B2octjYkpayqmah0lgLrRA
I seem to remember something similar happening with Ross Perot's Reform Party. Once he fell off the political map the crazies took over...that is if I recall correctly.
No surprise. Rand Paul has been the Libertarian standard bearer for over a decade now. And he is absolutely compromised and a Russian asset. Though at this point I think they've given the far right enough of a boost that they don't need any additional momentum. This all worked because Rupert Murdoch got them to want to kill democrats twenty years ago.
