I just figured it might be confusing to have Boyd Holbrook playing a character that looks almost identical to John.

    I'd actually take FF's logic here above Gaiman's :'(

Sure, she's maybe workable in this particular story as Johanna without it really affecting her purpose. But then there's a thousand in (pocket) universe stories, relationships, and traits that are affected should we branch out into the endless-verse. The lung cancer and his immortality for instance... or that he and Zatanna have a kid (unless they're gonna play Johanna off as being Zatara, continuing to let him age in 'real time'?).

Now that you mention it, that actress would be a perfect fit for Zatanna.

Coleman? She's a tad short. Zatanna is VERY leggy to best show off the fishnets (not that Jenna's legs aren't lovely).

    She's meant to be 5' 8". Jenna is 5' 2".

So I finished it today and honestly the only episode that I truly loved was the one where he visits the guy once every century. The rest was just blah.

The Sandman comics featured a Lucifer that spun off to his own comics series, which then was the basis for the TV show starring Tom Ellis.

I found John Stewart the least annoying.

Second choice would be Hal Jordan, but only if he's voiced by Nathan Fillian again.

It’s going to be the new Latina chick that nobody’s familiar with, isn’t it?

Your biases are showing again, FF.

And not surprised you've never been familiar with a Latina chick.

The original original Luthor from waaaaaaay back in the early days of Superman had red hair.

So, new season of Superman & Lois and...okay. There's a couple of tropes they need to ease up on, mainly the whole notion that these two are incredibly overbearing parents at times that end up having to talk it out later. I get that it's supposed to add drama but no one seems to grow.

also, why the actual fuck does Clark/Kal wear the fake glasses that he doesn't need when there's no practical chance anyone outside the family will see him? You don't need to wear the damn things in the fortress my dude.

    Anyway...

Gotham Knights seems ... not promising. IMO creating YET ANOTHER "son" that Bruce adopted is unnecessary, the idea that he hides his alter ego from him even though he's almost grown stretches credulity - or that the boy would never notice his odd hours. Or that he HAS a Robin but it's not his son... definitely some kind of elseworld thing of course but that's not a free pass to change random shit for no particular reason.

I really like the actor playing Dent which is a plus, a thought the "deadname" scene and how they are developing that character is interesting, and the girl playing the Joker's Daughter is good in the role but batshit crazy is not the most challenging part to play (she's not playing it that way, just mildly manic, but I'm saying a reasonably good actor can do manic pretty easily)

I'm not optimistic. I had a lot more hope for Gotham at the start.

ETA: Flash is REALLY going to test my "completist" instincts I think. I'm okay with the alt Batwoman villain, but the "Red Death" persona is extra cheesy, even for a comic book show

Blue Beetle trailer. First impression, not too shabby, though the suit shouldn't really just have a generic "computer" voice IMO:

Just realised this is a movie, not a series - I'd assumed the latter. @Diacanu, can this be moved to the DCU thread?

I’m not going to read 45 pages. But, is/has anyone been watching HBO’s Titans? I’m on like the 4th episode and I’ve no idea where this is heading.

I’d stoppped reading comics by the 80s then picked up bits and pieces since like 2000. I know Dick Grayson left Bruce Wayne to become NightWing and he led or was part off a group called Teen Titans …. But, I’ve no idea who these other people are.
