I haven't been following this closely. What is their platform? Conflict with the EU, bad on personal freedoms, crackdown on immigration?
I was hoping someone was talking about this. Yes, she's a Mussolini sympathizer, says he didn't do anything wrong, was a good man trying to protect Italy. Her speeches are all about God, family, and fatherland, which should sound very familiar. It's funny, too, in a way, because some in the media are talking about how she's the first woman president, and it's like, folks, she's a fascist. A woman as president murdering marginalized people is not a step up on the equality chain. It's not. Italy's in for a bad time, as are we all, if fascism truly takes hold once again in Europe.
She's against abortion rights, against marriage equality and even same-sex civil unions, doesn't think gay people should be parents and wants to make it illegal for same-sex couples to adopt, endorses the Great Replacement theory and believes that Africans are trying to take over Italy through immigration, and supports Italian irredentism in Croatia. So basically she's a U.S. Republican, and then some.
