The UAP's are real, even the pentagon admits this. So I don't think they're real, I know it. There's plenty of evidence showing that UAP's exist. Hence The New York Times' initial reporting and subsequent congressional hearings. You know, the whole point of this thread.

Are they aliens? I don't know for sure, but the Senate Intelligence Committee has confirmed that some of them are not of human origin. What that means is anybody's guess. You can find that information in post #503.

Are they helping us? I don't know that for sure either, but there have been reports of seeing these objects near nuclear facilities. These reports correlate with incidents at these facilities that can't easily be explained like power drains and shutting down missile silos.
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ex-air-force-personnel-ufos-deactivated-nukes/
    https://www.livescience.com/10146-ufos-disarm-nuclear-weapons.html

As far as getting them to reveal themselves; I'm not convinced they want to reveal themselves, whatever they are.

As for getting them to intervene in Ukraine, there's no guarantee they will. We'd have much better luck suing for peace ourselves.

Clearly they are hard to capture with our currently known technology, but they have been seen by the naked eye at least once. Witnesses at the UAP hearing in congress testified to this.

    https://thehill.com/opinion/nationa...fighter-pilots-get-little-help-from-pentagon/
Which prompted Congress to make it easier to report them. See post #503

In the video I posted in post #505 there were two synchronized cameras in two different locations that caught the same object. As the guy in the video points out, "that's no dust on the camera."

You’ve stated repeatedly that you think aliens are here and are helping us. Why post about the UAPs in this thread unless you’re reasonably certain that they are aliens?

Now, as to what those things are, I’d be willing to wager that almost all of them are drones belonging to various nations interested in seeing how Russian equipment compares to NATO gear, and also what kind of tactics the Ukrainians are using against an opponent that was initially thought to be larger and more capable.

All of that makes more sense than aliens from a star that we know doesn’t have any planets orbiting it.

I doubt it's Russian equipment. Turns out that's not so great. Chinese? Maybe.

But it sure seems like the US is by far the leader in drone technology and military technology in general.

It could be stuff WE are testing that the average person in the military doesn't know about. The CIA has stated that they used the UFO phenomenon to cover up US military tests in the past. But if so they are keeping it from the Senate too, and that seems a bit more problematic. I suppose the Senate committees could be theater.

Considering we keep finding out more and more about how many solar systems out there could possibly sustain life, and it turns out that Earth probably is on the less habitable side of those worlds (see the recent articles about Super Earths around Red Dwarfs and how numerous they are), it certainly could be something of extraterrestial origin. Not likely, but worlds that can sustain life like ours are far more common than we thought ten years ago.

Hell, FTL isn't even required for that. Picture us in 500 years (if we are still around). We could send out probes to nearby stars to monitor and send back information on likely habitable worlds and any life forms. First contact is probably going to be automated if it ever happens.

The thing is we don't really have any idea what the variables for the Drake equation actually are.

So I tend to keep an open mind on this one. No proof yet, to be sure, but there wasn't proof of germ theory for the first 3000 years of Earth civilization - but it turned out germs were there.

The CIA has a long history of keeping things from the Senate, so covering up drone programs would be par for the course.

This is an opinion piece from Christopher Melon who is a former Staff Director for the Senate Intelligence Committee. He's also the former Deputy Assistant Secretary under Clinton and W. This is a man that is in the know about UAPs. This is a long article so I will post the introduction and then follow up with subsequent posts of parts of the article I found interesting.
He talks about the UAPs at nuclear sites like I mentioned up thread. Then goes on to talk about some of the Air Force projects over the decades, Project Sign, Grudge, and most famously Project Bluebook wich the Air Force claimed that there's nothing to see here. Turns out there were a few things to see here. Oh and by the way, he says these observations go back as far as WW2. In this section we have Herman Oberth who thought they were extra terrestrial craft.

He goes on to talk about the Nimitz case which is the tic-tac UFO that The New York Times reported on. The whole point of this thread. Brief reminder; the tic-tac UFO is white, nearly 50 foot long, no wings, no control surfaces, exaust or visible means of propulsion. The government acknowledges that this is not an experimental craft. It's also likely not the Chinese or the Russians, according to Congress.
Now we get to the meat of the article. Other cases. He mentions UFOs that flew over the Capitol in 1952. Which he provides citation for.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/arch...ination/59f74156-51f4-4204-96df-e12be061d3f8/
Then he talks about why scientists fail to make the connection between the UAPs and ETs.
The rest you can find in the link below.

You'd probably make a better case for unexplained science if you didn't immediately jump to taking things like basic orbital mechanics as proof of alien tech.

If you’re talking about the one video I posted with the object going up, then that’s one example that I messed up on. What else you got? Did you read anything else that I posted?

I had a reply I was working on when my PC crashed and ate it. If I have time in the coming days, I'll work on redoing it. For right now, however, I'll just point out that the guy who wrote the piece is a fucking accountant, who spent a good portion of his time in government dealing with issues related to encryption. He can do math, but that doesn't mean he's got the necessary knowledge to comment on the subject in a meaningful way. Even if you believe that the government is hiding the fact that aliens are here, he's not someone who'd be in the loop on the matter. Especially if you believe that such information is so classified that even the President is ignorant of it.

Yep. What's more it could be an active disinformation campaign even if he was the relevant person. The CIA instructed the Air Force to lie about many sightings that were of U2, SR-71 and Stealth Bombers over the years. Certainly your average SuperFalcon pilot would be no more aware of that then the F-4 guys were in the early days of those programs.

The only question is the aeronautics of the UAPs. And that of course could still be something new coming down the pike. There have been active discussions in the defense community about the feasibility of anti-gravity, for example.

It is definitely the most likely answer.

But that doesn't mean it's the only one. :D

Laugh and point all you want. The DOD acknowledges that the tic-tax UAP is not ours. They also say that they’re likely not the Russians or the Chinese. What does that leave us with? They’re another foreign government agency’s tech. Also not likely unless we have a strained relationship with Quatar or other Middle East countries that we’re aligned with that I’m not aware of. They’re not man made which the Senate Intelligence Committee has said is most likely, they’re CIA or other alphabet agency tech that’s not communicating with the navy, which is problematic and dangerous because navy pilots have reported nearly missing them, Ryan Graves goes into details about this, or they’re Elon Musk’s private enterprise or something like that. If it’s the CIA or Skunkworks or something else, then we need some sort of oversight. It doesn’t appear to be any of these things. What it looks like, not coming from me, is technology that we are unaware of, or a possible misunderstanding of known physics, or a breakthrough in physics that we are unaware of. Lastly, it could be alien life or life that existed on earth that we are previously unaware of. Don’t take my word for it, read a book, or in this case, the citations.

Or the tic tac is a deflating weather balloon they had the wrong range and thus size and speed on. Or even a mylar balloon with a drone attached to to it where they had the wrong range and thus size and speed on. Maybe even a deliberate hoax, designed to let the air or helium out so it could appear to “rocket away”. The lack of major atmospheric interaction is particularly telling. It doesn’t matter what the source of propulsion is, if there’s a big thing moving quickly through the atmosphere, it will heat up and it will move air. Even a warp drive or antigravity or wormhole drive would cause atmospheric disturbance, particularly in the infrared. No, the absolute minimum level of technology such a craft must have are teleporters to beam air from one side of the craft to the other perfectly without any disturbance to the surrounding air. (Not that it matters, but this can’t be their propulsion method because surrounding air would flow into the vacuum faster than the craft would be sucked there.)

Or it can be small, slow, and relatively close to the camera instead, producing the large apparent parallax when it does move. I’ll leave it as an exercise to the reader which is more likely.

In the 90s there were a bunch of people who were regulars on Art Bell's radio show who claimed that objects caught on video that they called "Rods" were either alien spacecraft or a previously unknown species of life on Earth. Then a strange thing happened: People noticed that when the technology in video cameras changed, the Rods stopped being seen. Almost as if they were an artifact created by shitty home video cameras and not a real thing at all. Of course, @shootER knows far more about video cameras than I ever will, so perhaps he's privy to details about how the government made sure that video cameras could never detect Rods again. ;)

Not just home video cameras but I think it had something to do with the scan rates of SD cameras in general back in those days. I once saw some kind of Inside Edition or other show segment about the phenomenon and laughed out loud the next time I saw one of those "rods" in my own video that was shot with a $35,000 camera with a $15,000 lens.

People who believed in those things later went on to become Q-morons and Let's Go Brandon types. :unuts:

Yes, and for almost as long, people have been saying that the government has been prepping us for when they reveal that we've been in contact with aliens! Still waiting for that to be anything other than swamp gas.

If these things are aliens, I think it will be harder for the government to admit it than it is for Trump to admit he lost the 2020 election. It's going to take scientists and researchers, interested congressmen and women and the like with military grade tech to tell us what these things are. Some people are starting to be able to track them and that's why the Pentagon was forced to admit they exist and that they don't know what they are.

Would you care to refute any of the very plausible and likely ideas that he put forward? Yes they've all been heard before, because in thousands of sightings there is yet to be one verified as actually aliens. However there have been countless shown to have a very understandable and conventional explanation.

 Do you realize how much of a boon to defense spending it would be if the government could even halfway credibly admit that aliens are spying on us? Now, we can rationalize dumping even more on military spending, not because we're planning on going to war with the Russians or Chinese, but because Bug-Eyed Monsters are coming for our wimmins! Not only that, but our defense contractors can rationalize selling gear to every country on Earth! I mean, look at how easily we're mopping the floor with the Russians in Ukraine!

During the Cold War, it was always thought that Soviet gear was just a bit behind ours, with the Chinese stuff being a really distant third (I'm lumping the NATO powers in with "us.") Now, in a nearly all-out war between Ukraine and Russia, an operation that was supposed to take a couple of days, has lasted months and has consistently shown that the only thing more prone to failure than Russian soldiers is Russian military gear. If the aliens are here, who's going to want to buy Russian stuff? The Chinese stuff is mostly knockoffs of Russian hardware, and who knows what the quality is like? But our shit? That's the stuff you want if a BEM is coming to take your girlfriend!

Hell, man, the conspiracy theory writes itself: The US government (either the one we know about, or the sooper-secret one still controlled by Trump and JFK, Jr) has figured out that the aliens are here, and that we need to arm up to defend ourselves against them. They can't, however, just come right out and say this, as it would create a panic, and people wouldn't be willing to believe that the US had the best tech for fighting aliens. So, they get Ukraine to provoke Russia into invading it, because they know that when people see just how shitty Russian gear is, they'll want our stuff, and we can corner the global market on advanced weapon sales, along with ensuring that the best scientists in the world work with us! (Shit, and I whipped that out of my ass cold sober.)

Amazing how you don't believe the government when it says that they had nothing to do with the pipeline blowing up, but do believe them when they say that they can't rule out space aliens.

I agree. There's also a small percentage that still can't be explained. The tic-tac is one of them. David Fravor, the pilot in question, knows what a weather balloon looks like. The pentagon knows what a weather balloon looks like, FFS. It's not likely a weather balloon.

Just a recap: the tic-tac UFO is white, nearly 50 foot long, no wings, no control surfaces, exaust or visible means of propulsion. The government acknowledges that this is not an experimental craft. It's also likely not the Chinese or the Russians, according to Congress. The Senate Intelligence Committee also said it's not man made and at least one person in that committee said not of earthly origin.

What does that leave us with? Aliens, some sort of scientific phenomenon that we were previously unaware of, what we know about physics is not complete, this is some sort of natural phenomenon that is of earthly origin that we were previously unaware of, it's not of this plane of existence, there really are parallel universes and these objects are jumping between universes, these objects belong to the animal kingdom and a previously unknown animal of some kind, previously unknown weather phenomenon, somebody figured out how to warp space time for real, something else I'm not thinking of.
