Best case scenario is that he calculates Trump will be indicted before the primaries and gets started laying the groundwork to run and Trump feels disrespected and goes hard after him. If there's a hot war between them then it will be difficult for anyone else to consolidate the party in the midst of that and whoever is left standing will be very damaged for the general. I think desantis won for a big reason. He did not shut the state down as much or as long as other states. A large percentage of humans do not give a fuck about less than 1 percent dead when it means they have to suffer inconvenience. The communities who really suffered were the older and unhealthy. It is all about the selfish, and he also knows that most people want to abuse the little people because it makes them feel good. even minorities want to abuse other minorities. So he picked the GLBT community who is a minority in every community. People down here are happy he did not shut down like other places, and they were glad he hurried to open back up. No one, including the dems, gives a fuck about the dead. The re-did the roof at my parent's clubhouse and they were throwing the rock tiles off the roof. The old people had a shit fit because people would not let them walk through the falling debris to go to the pool.
