The point is to educate people, especially children. The person who made this meme would know that if they weren't so focused on pushing drag queen story time and telling students how awful America is and white people are to blame for the world's problems.

No one has yet explained to me why this is so horrible.
Am I supposed to register it as self evident?
    :chris:

    What history is. The truth.
What history isn't. A rah rah propaganda session.
If America doesn't like the ugly side of its history, maybe it should have acted better.

BTW, conservative politicians ONLY answer for this is the bullshit rah rah fairy tale shit.
Like, the goo-goo ga-ga G-rated history we got in elementary school, they want for high schoolers.
If there was some middle ground, we could talk, but you guys just want the whitewashed lies.
I have no use for that whatsoever.
Nothing about that appeals to me.

Find me someone who's literally saying that.
Greed is to blame for the lion's share of the world's problems, and the wealthy class is disproportionally white.
But...there have been plenty of black and brown dictators if that makes you happy.

educate children? So you are against telling children the history of american racism and slavery, and want to whitewash the confederacy, and you call that education? You want to help out chomos in the church while pretending trans people and gay people are chomos, and you call that education? You want to use Tim Pool and Joe Rogan videos in schools, and you call that education?

Tell us you are blaming your teachers for failing 8th grade yet again this year without telling us.

Oh, and tell all of us GLBT people how angry you are with how we constantly humiliate you around here by calling us groomers again. Your pissbaby crying is music to our ears.

Ah HA! You admit that drag shows are a dangerous place for children! Therefore, all libtards admit it's bad because you're all the same.

    Liberals purposefully endanger children!

We got you! Anything we do to protect those children is justified.

I know what you're thinking "That's stupid, you're trying to protect children from a danger you're the cause of!" Not so! Any violence committed by "conservatives" is actually Antifa agents posing as conservatives to try to make us look bad.

    Checkmate libtards!

They don't have to be "dangerous" to be an infringement. Is attendance mandatory? Are dissenters punished for not sitting in silence? Are school funds diverted from actual educational materials to pay for fucking drag shows?

Um, do you like hecklers at movie theaters?
Is that a thing you enjoy?
Do you throw popcorn at them, and tell them to shut the fuck up?
Do you think their snowflake drama queen ass would call that "punishment"? Goddamned right they would.
So why toss your self on a grenade for their precious "dissent" now?

Quit cherrypicking. My question about mandatory attendance renders everything you just said moot. If they don't have to attend, there is no problem.

School plays and public speakers were mandatory.
I didn't heckle. They got me out of boring-ass class.
I'd watch a fucking donkey show if it got me out of class.
If we thought the thing was stupid, we'd joke about it after.
If someone like you opened your fat mouth, and got us booted out, and sent back to boring-ass class, me and my pals would have filled your desk up with shit.
That's just how that would have gone.

Quit being a weasel, and give a direct answer to a direct question. Do you think little kids should be punished for refusing to attend drag shows, yes or no?

    Depends what the "punishment" is.
    Going back to class?
That would be punishment for me, but not for a nerd.
Sitting with your head on the desk?
    Writing lines on the chalkboard?
    What are we talking here?
    Surely it's not 50 lashes.

You're gonna call that "weaseling" but those are details that matter.

    Oh, and...

    Why would they refuse?
As I pointed out, when me and my friends were kids, we just wanted to get out of class whenever possible.
Why would a kid have some "deep conviction" against a drag thing unless their dopey parents drilled it into them at the supper table?

Hold up. Back to class? As in, drag shows during class time? No.

To be fair, I would go back and refuse to participate in holiday plays, too. But that would just mean not showing up after hours. Pressuring an already captive audience is right out.

Because they don't want to watch dudes gyrating in fishnets and corsets? I know, a crazy thing to contemplate.

Doesn't have to be a deep conviction. Doesn't have to be anything more elaborate than "I don't wanna" for something like this.

Again with assuming a thing is self-evident.
    FF did this yesterday.
Never got an answer from him about it either...

Okay, let's walk this idea through, that drag is offensive to the eyes at a self-evident level.
Why would drag be an icky thing to look at, unless it made you sexually uncomfortable?
Why would it make you sexually uncomfortable, unless you made everything in female attire your own personal porno movie from the jump, and drag performers disturbed your little porno movie?
Think of the level of spoiled entitlement to female bodies that reveals.
And think also of the diarrhea shitting terror of "getting turned on by the wrong thing" that also reveals.
And then think of how pathetic it is that these weak inferior emotions and drives are being hidden behind "concern for children".
Yeah, there's no "good guy" version of this "concern".

It's subjective, which carries with it the possibility it will not appeal to everyone's taste. Since it is entirely for entertainment, attendance should be strictly voluntary. Nice and simple, no strawmen, ridiculous hypotheticals or long-winded rationalizing needed.

But you're an aspiring robot, what would you know of subjective?
Ah, so you're a robot when you need to be, and not when you're not.
In other words, you're full of shit.

What part of "people afraid of drag queens are inferior cowardly little weaklings with repression and sexual entitlement issues" is at all a vague point of view that I'm afraid to state?

Little kids should be treated the same way for refusing to attend any mandatory school assembly, assuming it's mandatory.

I didn't wanna sell fundraising wrapping paper in the fourth grade, but I went to the assembly and kept my mouth shut.

I didn't wanna watch a terrible production of You're A Good Man Charlie Brown put on by high schoolers in the fifth grade, but I went to the assembly and kept my mouth shut.

I didn't want to sit through 90 minutes of some guy with no arms telling me I need to believe in my dreams in the sixth grade, but I went to the assembly and kept my mouth shut.

Well, see, it's the mandatory part where I take issue, as always. Another pointless fucking hoop they're made to jump through because the adults in their lives see them as nothing more than props for imposing their opinions on the world.

What's the educational value in a drag show? You might argue it's entertainment, but that's a matter of opinions that other people have every right to not share. What if it's a bible study hour? They can still just sit down and shut up? What if it was some conservative lecture about abortion and abstinence? Ooh, or a firearms safety film? No matter what, they are there to just passively comply without question or objection?

I don't know that it was mandatory. That's why I asked up there for the sake of discussion. The only one I have actually heard about awhile back, I understood to be invitation-only and after school hours.
