Musk thinks he's being cute since King has the checkmark he said he wouldn't pay for but - due to Musk's own twatfuckery - they had to pause that and ensure that anyone who previously had a check (which King did) retained it without having to ask.

I’m quite happy with Mazda’s approach, which is designed to assist rather than do the actual driving. I will be very surprised if full auto pilot becomes accepted as a normal thing in my lifetime. :chris:

I may have to disagree, as my Mazda CX-30 has a tendency to scare the shit out of me with a high-pitched alarm because I had the temerity to not brake when approaching a parked vehicle at ~25mph and didn't pull out like I was Donald Trump's dad if he'd had a conscience and a fortune cookie.

Their lane departure warning also tends to stiffen the steering which has the unfortunate effect of guiding me back into the obstacle if I'm only nudging partway over the line to avoid a badly parked car or a refuse sack that got blown into the road.

This isn't even touching the time my old CX-3 beeped at me like a photon torpedo was about to penetrate my anus when I was doing 70mph because one tyre was slightly underpressurized...

You can turn off lane assist. I’m used to mine though. I spend a lot of time on adaptive cruise control which once in a while makes the BRAKE sign show up on the HUD which is shocking and annoying.

Cruise control has a place in the US, where you have long, straight stretches of road. I'd probably nod off using it - the first time I encountered it was in fact in a Grand Am we hired in San Diego and we never dared put it on.

My Mazda has radar-guided cruise control which I TRY to use in lengthy restricted speed zones but even in those you can't always count on the cunt (alliteration!!!) in front (rhyme!!!) to maintain a decent speed and the damn thing drops below the minimum speed and resumes manual.

What model year is it? My 2020 slows down to avoid tailgating, but resumes the set speed when the road clears...as long as I don't touch the brake.

Same. Mine never returns to manual (2019). I use the shit out of adaptive cruise control. I’m not sure how I get to my destination most times.

It only took two years for me to figure out to navigate the infotainment system. It's the usual problem: the more functions piled on to one control the more of a pain in the ass it becomes. It's like universal remotes...ahhh don't get me started.... :brood:

Mine's a 2020, but it's the difference between British and American driving. I don't use cruise control on motorways because I'd lose concentration. I use it in long, speed-restricted zones like a 30 or 40mph limit. But you can guarantee some cunt will still be doing just 25 or 35 in those zones, or turning off. Mine's radar-guided too, but I drive a manual and below a certain speed, the car doesn't let you change gear and stay in cruise control.

OK, the manual may make the difference. No idea how adaptive could work on one given that I let my automatic roam from 0 MPH to 75 MPH on freeways. My manual truck had standard cruise control, which I rarely used, but if I did only on freeways at 65 or higher.

Older model Mazdas would drop out of adaptive cruise if you hit the clutch to change gear. The new one doesn't unless the speed drops to the point you need 1st or 2nd gear (basically 25mph or less).

I wish you had the option to get rid of most of that shit, but alas it's all become "standard".

I remember the days when I could easily swap out a starter or other non-complicated engine parts. Today... forget about it.

I would sooner use an Iphone than a twitter phone. I would have sooner used a twitter phone than a musk twitter phone.

I am interested in seeing how musk tortures his loyal twitter cult members with a barely function pay per feature and use proprietary technofuckstic phone. Stand back glassholes Elon's twittards are about to redeem you.

Please lord of darkness let Elon's phone become that of the republican party.
