If people want to have a sharia divorce court and the woman signs a statement that she is aware of her civil rights and is participating freely and without any duress, I'm satisfied.

It's not that Sharia law is being supported, it's that there is no legal basis for excluding Sharia from the rules that already exist regarding arbitration.

So doctrinally in an Infantry unit the SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) gunner is supposed to be the second most senior member of the Team.

In reality it is the most competent/best shot of the lowest ranking members of the Team. The M249 SAW is heavy and the couple hundred rounds of ammo are heavy.

Anyway as the FNG (Fucking New Guy) that was decently competent and a damn good shot, less than two weeks after joining my company as a Replacement (in this case for Jasso who did too many Dusters and went crazy in the gym) I got given the SAW.

But not just any SAW. A Canadian SAW.

And I’m not just imagining that it was Canadian as like there was beaver fur on the buttstock or something.

There was a for real Maple Leaf stamped on one side of the receiver and:

Canadines

stamped on the other. Even had a weird serial number starting off 87AC instead of just god decreed normal serial numbering system of W then ten to twelve or so numbers.

This was super annoying as we were Regional QRF (Quick Reaction Force) so weren’t often working out of Liberty but instead sent off to every bumfuck place having a problem that needed dealing with and so when I would try and check my weapon into an arms room (in the US military you must keep your weapon within arms reach at all times UNLESS it is checked into an arms room - do you know much it sucks to be carrying a machine gun around 24/7?) and the fucking armorers on these FOBs wouldn’t believe me when I read off my serial number.

Because American weapons always start off with Whiskey. But I start off with Eighty Seven Alpha Charlie and these fucking FOBbits little minds are blown and they won’t take my weapon.
