I didn’t recognize the term ‘Women of the Sun’ so asked my partner if it was quoting a poem or something (Iranians like Afghans are REALLY into quoting poetry) and it turns out that this was in Iranian Kurdistan and the sun refers to the emblem of the Kurds.



Sharing as it is yet another reminder that this uprising has ethnic/religious connotations as well.
