Nah, they're done with Trump, he's outlived his usefulness.

Who's going to stall? The IRS won't. The Democrats are in charge of the committee for now. We might not get hearings, but even if we don't, seems likely that the returns will leak. If Alito is anything to go by, probably by a Republican to try to make the Dems look bad.

Good point. I forgot it was the IRS, not Trump or his lackeys, being compelled to cooperate.

Cue the usual tantrum from TFG:

Claims the SC are "cowards" afraid of the "Radical Left Maniacs" (after they just pissed off virtually anyone on the left with the Roe v Wade decision and keep backing GOP gerrymandering efforts).

His cocksuckers are working overtime - Tom Fitton asked if the SC will now demand Hilary and Obama's returns - both have released over 8 years of their documents voluntarily. Biden released 22 years worth. Trump's had to be leaked, and even then only a couple of years.

I still say the easiest thing to believe is that somehow he'll get off because elite impunity is a thing and it's saved his ass for 40 years

    BUT

With that as context, the 11th decision today is pretty devastating for him, and then there's this

    https://twitter.com/harrylitman/status/1598478920932012032?s=20&t=eJIixXMgrpwGOtmKt2Qiog

"CNN reports that the secret proceedings before Judge Howell concerned precisely whether Cipollone & Philbin's claims of executive privilege fail, & the court held that they do. Meaning the table is now set for them both to be forced to say what Trump told them. That's Incendiary."

Presumably this relates to either the Georgia grand jury, or DC - or both.

That's a whole lot of daggers to dodge.

    I'll say it again:

If Trump does not face prosecution, the United States of America will never recover from the path it is currently on.

I saw a YouTube pundit from Meidas Touch who proclaimed that Merrick Garland exercised a brilliant strategy against Trump. By slow-walking appeals against (Corrupt) Judge Aileen Cannon's improper handling of the Mar A Lago case he got far more in the way of incriminating statements from Trump via social media than he ever would have gotten from in a Grand Jury proceeding where you can be sure he would employ his time-tested strategy of pleading the fifth to everything but his own name. Trump really is a lawyer's worst nightmare: a client who not only won't shut up, but won't stop incriminating himself when he talks or posts.

Also of note, the Jan. 6 committee referred House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, as well as Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania and Andy Biggs of Arizona to the Department of Justice for potential criminal prosecution.

Hopefully some forensic experts will take it on themselves, or some outfit like Mother Jones or Pro Publica will hire one to translate them into English. :meka:

How is Brady able to talk with that much shit in his mouth?

"A dangerous new political weapon"?!? :wtf:

You mean all these past Republican (and Democrat) presidents who publicly released their tax returns?
