Just a point, but isn't this sort of thing what wikipedia is for? If you are talking about links to her writing history, some life history, and maybe a link to her personal web archives wouldn't that be for her fans and friends to edit and create as an entry for her? I thought that was sort of the point of crowdsourcing input on wiki.

Maybe a member of wordsmith forge should do that since you seemed to care for her presence and company all of these years?

Wow, what a bunch of fucking friends. Not that I expect my friends to do anything like that, but I was not a published writer with a history in a message board that supposedly loves it's history. If you can get people to research old tererun posts for gotcha quotes that should be something easy. Damn, you fucks are wading through old posts and necroing things from decades ago out of boredom and you cannot make a wiki page for Garamet?

I do not know why I am surprised with all the performance caring around here. I could not have pissed on her grave any worse than her so called friends online. That is just fucking awesome.

I just saw this. She was a dear friend and I can scarcely believe she is gone.

She was special. We were only acquainted through the Trekbbs and then Wordforge, but she still treated me like one of her celebrity friends and tried to make time for me whenever I was in SoCal. She always encouraged my work and was very supportive of my acting efforts. I wish she could have seen some of the work I've done. It's very small scale, but it would have been fun to show her that on some small scale she was right that I might be able to do it.

Then, I was captioning over at Cracked. It was like doing quote of the week, every day, a prize I took six times. It was sooooo hard because we hasp to do one every day. I took awards 8 times. So then we did the World Crap Competion, because the FICA Cup was on. The Fecco Cup. We thought the prize was going to be the golden roll of Charmin. Well it wasn’t. It was the Golden Dik, Foot Ball-2nd prize and Hand-Ball as 3rd. Anyway, I entered Cracked’ ( Pointless Waste of Time) poetry contest. The winner of the Golden Dik also entered. I beat him. Turns out, he was Paula Abdul’s lyricist.

Good stuff.

Searched for this thread as Mum and I were discussing Angela Lansbury's passing. Is there any reason it doesn't seem to have been archived in the Memorial Threads section of the Green Room yet?

I had a very pleasant conversation with @garamet via PM here on Wordforge after Hurricane Sandy hit.

@garamet will be sorely missed by all of us forever.
