This. Mental health is definitely a key component to the problem, along with all of the other complications of society. It's not the gun's fault that someone is mentally ill, but the gun has to be taken into account when it is picked up and used to murder people.

People who try to push the focus solely onto the issue of mental health are often the same people who refuse to pour money into social programs that would help fix the problem with mental health.

Look at the way UA talks about mental health.
