FBI agents accuse CIA of 9/11 cover up

This should surprise nobody, but it looks like the CIA tried to cover up the fact that they tried to recruit through the Saudis two of the 9/11 hijackers. They knew these two were in the country before the attacks.

You would think this would be a bipartisan issue, but look at the responses this thread got. Apparently I’m stupid and should be made fun of for wanting to hold the CIA accountable for this.

Unfortunately a lot of people have bought into the idea that the CIA (and other parts of the security state) ought to be completely unaccountable and will react negatively to that being challenged.

"The CIA was actively trying to flip AQ members" is one of those things that should be obvious to anyone giving it a moments thought, but also one of those things that no one should be publicly admitting to while those efforts are still ongoing.

Not really. I didn't vote for Bush, and while the actual attempt to infiltrate happened during the Clinton administration, I assume most of the aftermath was under Dubya.
