I'll add the landslide defeat of two wannabe book-burners in the recent Meridian, Idaho elections. Meridian is traditionally considered a bedroom community for Boise, but is growing so fast that it's developing its own identity. Even in Idaho, it seems that in free and fair elections these douchebags don't have nearly the support they think they do, although that wouldn't stop them from trying.

If I didn’t know better, I’d say that Baba wrote the complaint that got a book banned, it was so filled with gibberish.

To be fair, Baba would want a book banned because it didn't have enough (any) lesbian content.

So I can get "The Poky Little Puppy" banned by saying it encourages disobedience? Awesome!

She couldn’t even fill out the complaint form correctly. How could the school take it seriously. Oh right, Florida.

They never go after The Bible and "Mein Kampf".
Those books have piled up more carcasses in history than anything.

While the death toll of "Heather Has Two Mommies" is...*checks*...zero.
    Huh.

Why, it's almost like moral panics are always ginned up by fascists.
But that can't be, because the fascists say "nuh uh".
How can we possibly pierce through an alibi that airtight?

Y'know what scarred me as a kid?
    The Satanic Panic.
Y'know who brought us that shit?
    Religious conservatives.
Y'know what I thought of butts?
    That they were funny.
Never had a sleepless night due to butts.
Had plenty "The Demon Murder Case" nightmares though.
    Thanks, religion.

My older son wasn’t and still isn’t much of a reader. My younger son, OTOH, is an AVID reader. And he read and still reads many books banned from public schools. Even the ones before this nonsense.

Parent’s, including this bitch who can’t stop wasting public school funds with her nonsense, need to stop depending on public schools to raise their children. Buy, rent, or check out (of a library) any book in which your child is interested. Talk to them. Read the book and discuss what s/he got from it vs what you took away.

For Christ’s sake, raising children isn’t rocket science. You just need to pay attention.
