My theory about her sudden swing to the anti-trans fringe — when she was generally one of the most LGBTQ-supportive Republicans before — is that, as a sexual assault survivor whose ideology, religion, and personal financial security all require her to uphold male supremacy, she had to put all that anger somewhere.

She could also just be a cynical opportunist, but somebody driven solely by opportunism wouldn't have made herself a thorn in the administration's side on the Epstein files, so I think there's more to it than that.
