Where are you getting that from? By my reading of the story, it looks like he was claiming that they caused her injuries (whether through abuse or neglect is unclear), not suing them for reporting.

Obviously covering his own ass, of course.

And if they hadn't reported her injuries, he wouldn't have sued.

Regardless of reasons, the fact of the matter is this guy was clearly sexually abusing his 2-3 year old daughter.
What i don't get is why there was no criminal investigation of her injuries. No charges filed. No nothing. The civil case against the daycare was simply dropped.
That is what we should ask be asking.
We should also be asking why her senator grandfather didn't already beat this guy within an inch of his life. God knows I would have.
