Okay then. Well, this is her response to the question https://bsky.app/profile/katmabu.bsky.social/post/3llf7ypcgg224
Regardless of party, I think once an elected official(or judge) starts hitting the 80s bracket it's time to retire.
Hey @Diacanu, does this fuckface have a shot? ‘Donald Trump before Donald Trump’ tries for a comeback in Maine The former Maine governor who has called himself “Donald Trump before Donald Trump” has launched a campaign to take over the seat held by Democratic Rep. Jared Golden. Paul LePage, who served as governor of Maine from 2011 to 2019, on Monday announced a run for the state’s swingy second district, which Golden won last November by less than a point in a ranked-choice vote. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/05/05/paul-lepage-maine-congress-00330403
I'd like to say an emphatic "no" but we have just enough rednecks, and Golden sucks enough for it to be a nail-biter.
LePage is going to wipe the floor with Golden. Better that than becoming governor again, though. I'll never forgive myself for not punching him in the face when he walked by me at the State House.
The way you square low party favorables with an okay generic ballot and very strong special election performance is that the Democratic base is ready to crawl over broken glass to oppose Republicans and furious at party leadership for not feeling the same.
Really cute that anyone thinks there are going to be any more national elections. At least in the traditional sense of the word election.
If you have an election that lasts more than four days without a Republican victory, consult your United States Supreme Court immediately.
Yeah, I usually tag all my commentary with "in the unlikely event" - but I expect a corrupted (via redistricting and other legislative shenanigans) 2026 cycle to happen. It's '28 when all bets are really off.
Me- Republican women hate themselves. FF- Boo!! Boo! Dumb-rep! Dumb-rep! Boo! Stupid Dicky!! This chick- Nope, I hate me. FF-
The first part of this podcast episode is an interview with a NASA astronaut who's running as a Democrat for the US Senate in Texas.
South Dakota Representative announces switch from Democrat to Republican In short, she looked at polling, saw which way the wind was blowing and switched sides.
"decentralized government, self-determination, economic prosperity, lower energy costs" Especially the second one.
Speaking of polling... Is This the Worst Poll of the Year for Democrats? Newsweek Article You know your brand is damaged when people say they aren't happy with the opposition yet they still trust them to fix the problem. Never let facts harm a narrative, even when reality smacks you in the face.
Democrat (and independent) voters are DESPERATELY searching for political leaders who will FIGHT. THAT is the plans they are looking for. And we look to the Chuck Schumers of the world and find nothing that looks like a spine. This kind of a result is not an affirmative support of Trump, it's soul crushing depression that while there are bold voices (JB Prizker, for example) there's no opposition party that is worthy of the moment that befalls them.
So, how long before he joins Pourier and changes party? No way he stays on the blue team after voting to keep the government open.
