There will almost definitely be 2028 US elections. That doesn't mean it will be as free and fair as 2024 however, expect tricks like gerrymandering and voter deregistration to be kicked up to 11.

Politics is such a passive bludgeon. Today was the first time I spent a lot of time in mixed red vs blue company. I could tell there was some feelers coming out with some people asking how the week was looking for a specific reaction and being bored when they got an answer that was about non political life things like family and medical shit. I hang around a bunch of retirees. There was some griping in the corners, but everyone was having fun and you do not want to be the grump because you do not get invited to things. I hang out in old retired communities and people make an effort to socialize and bring people around when it gets difficult for them to get around or they lose that partner.

I just realized that for the bitter old ones, and perhaps younger people politics becomes a way to beat the opponent over the head without actually bitching at them in person. I think the left does not do as much as the right says they do, but the right wing hate machine is this surrogate bully that seems to intrude on all of our lives to hate on people. It is not just for white people either because it seems there are people of different nationalities and color who listen to that crap and get joy out of it hurting others.

I am not being hypocritical because I do get it. I like seeing bigots get served. It makes me happy, and when I see them lose there is a part of me that likes to hear them bitch, so I know when they are looking to drink my tears. It is just that I could live without it so easily. If all of a sudden everyone was getting along and some liberal smug twat was making some straight redneck type uncomfortable I would step in and stop it.

The old women who I know are dems and had a huge disappointment just handled themselves with grace and we had another good time. I thought there would be a grinding conflict, but I was wrong. It was so natural for them to diffuse things, and even the Trumpers did it.

I guess the thing that confuses me is how it gets so shitty. I can sort of see it in places like this where we vent, but how come we cannot really harness this sort of thing and get over some of the worst of the worst? Or are we getting over our worst nature and this is just what it is at this moment? The world is getting better from a century ago ethically and morally.

Anyway, I just felt better talking directly to people.

I have been blamed for that before. I do not think I have that sort of power, but it might be so. People have often accused me of it so I cannot discount the possibility that I did it. Not to mention this universe may all be q simulation where my mind is controlling outcomes like creating a dream environment so this all might be my fault in the end.

I would not put it beyond my nihilistic desires to see what happens when Trump destroys the world, so perhaps you might want to think about the accusations you fling about so much. If it is truly something my subcoscious created, and I do have these powers, then you are very close to the source of all that is orange and unholy. That is probably not the place you want to be throwing around blame and seeking attention from what might be a sadistic entity of powerful status that might want for a new victim or two or three.

People should think about how they deal with others as clearly you are not, unless you wanted me to pontificate ad nauseum for the purpose of annoying you. You should be well aware of my affinity for the clickety clack of my keyboard as I create these scrolling word walls.

One thing I am curious about is how do your balls taste? Do they taste better than the pungent phallus you insert daily into my glory hole, or do they absorb more of your salty essence in their lesions and pustules I see you so enthusiatically growing?

It's undeniable that there are massive amounts of disinformation that exist with the right wing media sphere but it's silly to blame it all on that. The economy and inflation definitely played a part (or more accurately wealth inequity). How do I know this? Because of the massive amounts of people that are literally saying this was an issue for them

It's still an information problem though because million of people who object to wealth inequality have spent the last 50years voting for the party that literally created it (at least in the post-war period)

There are so many guys I talk to at the market who are thrilled Trump won, and they're absolutely certain that economic prosperity is coming.

And no matter what happens, as long as Trump is in office they will be convinced that they're prosperous.

Their lives and personal budgets can look exactly the same, all the national numbers can be exactly the same, and they will declare the economy to be a brilliant success as long as a Republican is in office, and a failure if it's a Democrat.

That is depressingly accurate.
