I just spent a couple years posting over on GameFAQS and I can tell you that over there the admins would have banned like half the people in that thread without a second thought. But the Trekbbs mods are like, "let's have a chat about this." Fucking A. Remember she was the main admin! Yeah. My response over at TK on learning he was still alive: I mean I am honestly surprised he is still alive. His mental and material state had been declining for a while (worse and worse housing situations, no jobs, etc) and he was getting himself banned from more and sites. I figured he would have been found frozen to death after passing out drunk and not waking up when the heat got shut off. But he is still alive and still posting dumb shit. That was back in a time when you could say anything so long as it was done in the right sub forum. Words were harsh and there was no filter. The thinking was that it's just words and people will see you for what you really are. Problem is that allowed racist and bigoted language to go unchecked. Over time that changed and now its to the point that people don't bother engaging anymore because a simple difference of opinion is seen as racism and bigotry.
Whatever happened to Barcode? Seemed they kinda vanished after their BR thread leak but maybe I am misremembering (it has been a minute or two).
Who knows? As I remember Barcode was always a pop in and pop out personality. Maybe they had another TK username on the side.
