Is your supply of tissues holding out?
No. I use a beach towel.
Leave Dayton alone! He makes a good point. Criminals need to be removed from society.
Jesus was a filthy criminal and he was guilty without question of crimes against the state. A well deserved ending for that animal. Unfortunately he turned into a zombie and started eating people's brains.
And Saudi Arabia executes people caught reading the Bible. These people are clearly enemies of the state. Their deaths are also well deserved. Law and order must be maintained!
No response @Dayton3 ?
Why would dayton respond to something so infantile?
I just wanted to know if he defends Saudi Arabia's death penalty against Christians
I mean, everyone on Death Row did something to deserve it. Those guys knew better than to practice a banned religion. They deserve to die.
You and that fool above are seriously comparing Saudi Arabia's persecution of Christians with states in the U.S. executing convicted murderers? Often multiple murders who kill women and children?
And by the way Anna, I have little doubt you would not be so up in arms about the death penalty if you didn't think it was applied disproportionately to black men.
Actually, I used to be all for the death penalty because like yourself, I bought into that mentality that it reduced crime and all the bastard deserved it.
Except I know of many cases where death row inmates were cleared by DNA analysis that may not existed at the time of the trial and it doesn't save one penny in costs because of the rightfully long appeals process.
But before you dodge again, I'll ask: do you think Saudi Arabia should be allowed to murder their citizens because Christianity is banned?
No I don't. I think the United States should work to protect Christians everywhere around the world. Which was one of the only good points in President Trumps favor when he ran for the presidency (he mentioned that though I don't think there has been any follow uthr).
But you at least agree that Jesus was a filthy criminal and the Romans were within their rights to execute him for crimes against their society?
@Dayton3 ? Bueller?
Do you think that the same protection should apply to atheists? Or should the Saudis be able to execute them?
Everyone engaged in witchcraft should be executed by the Civil Authorities.
So, you think witches are real?
Or, do you just have a hair across your ass because a goth girl at a coffee house turned down your advances?
No one should be executed for religious beliefs or the lack there of. Or imprisoned or persecuted.
Only persons guilty of capital murder should be executed.
Well, I'm sad that you don't believe in the Bible.
Tonight's teh night.
Note, my state has plans to execute two killers on Monday and a third on Thursday from what the newspaper says.
Two of the three have admitted their guilt.
It's their country. Except. Once upon a time, in Tennessee, there was District Attorney, who wanted to crush evil. There was a film. It was called, Deep Throat. It violated community standards and was declared obscene in 1972. In 1977, said DA from Tennessee had his eye on the Governor's mansion. By this time, Deep Throat had sort of entered the main stream, except in the state of Tennessee. the DA not only put out warrants for the theatre owners, and their employees, but also extradition orders for the writers, the film producers, the director, and the actors, even though none of afore mentioned had ever been to Tennessee. It must be noted, that this was also the year, Larry Flynnt debuted Hustler, the scratch and sniff issue. Harry Reams was convicted because his costar, Linda Lovelace turned states evidence. The conviction was later overturned, which pretty much put porn in the no holds barred position. Even though Reams was a fairly highly paid moap, at the time( most moaps make but 50 bucks a day for the bump and grind ), Hollywood ponied up for his defense because they didn't a repressive state coming after them. As I have always said, Today porn, tomorrow heresy.
Have the bloodthirsty morons gotten their pound of flesh yet?
I am genuinely curious about this attitude you are showing. Are you against all executions no matter what (even mass murderers like Hitler) or is it you, like Anna, are mostly just afraid a mistake might be made? If there is some line some where which you would draw ("Killing 1000 people is enough but not 999!" ) where would you place that line? What if people have confessed so there is no doubt about guilt? What if they are a mass murderer? Are you only opposed to justice when other people's loved ones are victims or would you change you tune if it was your wife or daughter who was the victim?
Btw my own take is it should be rare but legal and reserved for the worst of the worst. For everyone else there is life in prison. Now, life in prison has its own problems not least of which are prisoners who feel they have nothing to lose, that the state can do nothing more to them, so they become hyper violent in prison. Those folks do need to know they have a lot more to lose be it lose of privileges, something more severe such as years in solitary (possibly even more cruel), or getting the death penality for murders committed in prison.

It just seems that the states that execute the most, make the most mistakes. Just when you are ready to believe that the South can't be that far behind, Jeff Sessions opens his mouth, and you know the man uses Charmin for dinner napkins.
The question people have against this practice is if it's worth it to execute the known murders,at the expense of the few innocents who end up with conviction.
As I've said, you can't unkill someone after you've found out they were actually innocent. Four percent is a pretty high error of margin IMO.
Look, if I had unlimited telekinesis, and gave in to my baser passions, I'd splatter all people I deemed "bad", into a mist of tomato soup at Gatling gun speed.
I don't come from this from an angle of being a lily white peace hippie.
I just understand that those base passions aren't to be listened to.
That's for when you're a dumb kid.
Societies run on passion don't end up well.
Look at the Middle East you despise so much.
Not a lot of higher-minded thinking going on there.
Retribution isn't justice.
No matter how hard you scream it.
If goo-ifying evil bastards made utopia, I'd be for it.
It hasn't worked.
Motherfuckers have been goo-ifying each other for centuries.
The world is still shit.
Utopia never came.
Not to the retribution based societies, anyway.
You look at how the Nordic countries handle crime, what they do works.
The stats, the numbers, the math shows it.
Separate names with a comma.
