And the fourth one is gone.

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/arkansas-prepares-conclude-aggressive-execution-schedule-47048009

Kenneth Williams had originally been sentenced to life in prison for murdering a cheerleader. After being sentenced to life in prison he taunted the cheerleaders family saying

"You thought they were going to kill me didn't you"

Williams escaped just three weeks into his life sentence, murdered a former corrections employee, stole a truck, running into and killing another person.

Obviously his original life sentence didn't keep him from killing two other people.

And based on Williams’ execution, the process of fast-lane executions in Arkansas is now under review. You should find another hobby. Or, hey - - maybe you're missing an obvious career move here.

Has someone, yet, brought up the point that all these "punishments" are taking place because the lethal injection products are about to expire?

Don't worry Garamet, as long as there are politicians wanting to show they are "tough on crime" there will be executions.

Remember, even Bill Clinton got off the presidential campaign trail and rushed back to Arkansas in 1992 so he could be in Arkansas when we finally resumed executions.

IIRC, you've worked in the prison system. Maybe you should put in an application. :bergman:

I don't like to speculate about the state of someone's soul. But if I was hazarding a guess I would say hell.

Six weeks working in a county jail probably wouldn't count for much.

Where do you think people who get executed and turn out to be innocent go?

Depends on whether they were Christians. Simply being killed for the wrong reasons has nothing to do with where your soul goes after death.

Okay, where do you suppose the person who pulls the switch on the innocent person goes?

Why would I enjoy working in a prison?

I assume you're going to claim that I would enjoy executing people.

    Grow up lady.

Surely you are smart enough to know that people can and do advocate doing things and believe it is right......but would take no joy in it whatsoever

    Faithful Christians go to heaven.

And the person who actually executes has no moral culpability whatsoever. They are simply the final step in a long process that they had no hand in.

Would this logic apply to Nazi death camp executioners?

So another example of your willingness to let other people do your dirty work for you. Or when you say "doing things and believe it is right......but would take no joy in it whatsoever," are you referring to teaching?

    Of course not.

As far as I know, Nazi death camp executioners knew full well that the people they murdered had committed no known crime and had not been subject to any lawful judicial process condemning them.

SS officers had "Gott Mit Uns", on their belt buckles.
    This means "God with us".
Do you think they were lying, mistaken, or delusional?

For one, though several Nazis had been raised Christian (supposedly) and a number of them used Christianity to promote their ideology at various points, Nazism was actually heavily rooted in various pagan ideas and rituals not uncommon in central Europe.

No I'm not going to bother with a link as equating as you are trying to do here, an employee at a prison who "pulls the trigger" on someone convicted by lawful authorities of capital murder with death camp executioners is simply beyond the pall of reason.

Many things in American Christian practices are Pagan in origin.
Much of how we celebrate Christmas, for example.
    How do you celebrate Christmas?
Wreaths? Trees? Mistletoe? Did your kids have Santa? Did you as a kid?

    So?

You're equating celebrating Christmas with the sayings Nazi guards wear on their belts?

    Unbelievable.

I knew you atheists had lost your minds but now it can be confirmed........
