It's interesting how many of Trump's followers share his characteristic of lying reflexively ... not only when the lie is easily disprovable, but also when the lie doesn't even benefit them in any way.

In this case, he was charged with beating the officer with a Trump flag, but lied and said it was a "Back the Blue" flag. Which was easily disproven by video evidence ... and which also, aside from dialing the irony up to 11, would have helped his case in no way whatsoever.
