    MAGAtards don't care.
They're willing to eat a cement truck full of shit so long as liberals and brown people eat a cement truck plus one extra spoonful.
It's all about being atop the precious, precious, precious fucking hierarchy, even if it's by that one shit-spoonful.

How does a tariff on a "foreign-made" movie even work? Do the Mission Impossible movies get tariffed because they had scenes shot overseas?

Just how stupid is this all going to get? Are we going to tariff "foreign" books now too? Am I going to have to pay double for my next John Lindqvist novel?

I assume the way this works is that if an American distributor licenses a film from an overseas studio, they pay a tariff on top of the license fees?

That seems straightforward enough. I'm not clear on how it would apply to a situation like Lucasfilm shooting a bunch of scenes in Norway or Tunisia. Maybe it wouldn't.

Anybody else get the feeling that part of this comes from the fact that Trumplethinskin has desperately craved the approval of celebrities and the cultural jet-set his entire life, but never got it?

It's safe to assume that everything he does is based on it.

Well, a lot of it is also based on desperately craving his father's approval and never getting it.

He's an insecure little boy who ended up with a platform that he could use to take his daddy issues out on the entire world.

Somewhere out there is a world where Trump never ran for president, and went from The Apprentice into being the Taskmaster for an ultra successful US version of the series of the same name. He spends his filming days hanging out with famous performers, judging them, and roasting them.

In all the multiverse that is the happiest version of Trump.

I'm actually surprised that after all this time some independent film maker hasn't made a movie called Trumplesthinskin or Trumplestilskin.

Mine would be the banks in the 90s treating him like everyone else and seizing his assets after his horrible financial management forced him into bankruptcy. The country would have better off and setting that example might have spared us the economic mess that came a decade later.
