So far only Guam. So could just be a ratcheting up of pressure.

If they move on to Diego Garcia then that is a worry as they aren’t even bothering with seeing what one step of escalation yields.

We seem to have swapped the B-2s at Diego for B-52s.

Well the chance of Iran doing a nuclear test in the next couple of years probably just went up.

Unless those attacks really did take out their entire nuclear development apparatus. I wouldn't bet on that, but I guess it could have... :clyde:

    Iran, at the same time:

    "The war has begun!"

    and

"No, nothing of any value was hit."

Perhaps not. But I find the simultaneous attitude of outrage and "no big deal" humorous.

I know Biden was a genocider and all that but he did end the AUMFs (Authorizations for Use of Military Force) passed by Congress post 9/11 that basically allowed the President to do whatever he wanted in SW Asia. Obama kept them just so he had the flexibility to threaten action in negotiations but Biden ended them.

So there are no applicable AUMFs that Trump could cite.

He literally just (potentially) started a war with a country with zero Constitutional/Congressional authority.

But you know his followers are too stupid to know enough to give a shit so shame on those opposed to war who didn’t vote for the anti-war candidate.

It was from Seymour Hersh and one or two others. I hate being right.

Anyhow, I'm betting that other than getting some tiny penises hard, this will have had limited effect on those nuclear sites. It does practically guarantee that Iran will arm itself with a nuclear weapon in the next few years, others will learn the same lesson and the international nuclear regulatory framework will probably collapse.

In the immediate future, it's obviously best for us all if Iran doesn't retaliate significantly. Although from their point of view they would be insane not to. Giving bullies what they want rarely has a positive outcome and there is no way that if this were to end that the US and Israel won't be back for another round.

But remember @shootER said Hersh was a nut job? He couldn’t possibly be wrong about that.
