How much worse will this set of terms be than the first one? No way is this stopping without more concessions from Trump, in order to deter him from continuing the pattern of perfidy he has been on.

This seems like the best choice as it’s pretty clear that Trump has no intention of doing anything sensible.
I think it's just rhetoric indicating that they're willing to play the long game. They can't survive a blockade for that long. Right now, the US is having some success with the Oman route, which is helping with oil supply. It's not a permanent solution but it buys them time and the Iranians are responding to it. (They're also trying to escalate by hitting shipping on the Oman route and hitting US bases. But the US are keeping things quiet to avoid escalation and keep the markets where they are.)
I don’t get it. The Army regularly does or at least did 12 month deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, extended to 18 months during the surges. And these were to actual combat zones. Why are these sailors flipping out over nine months on a cruise ship?

People who join the Navy are often sold on the idea because of the argument, "If you get killed, at least you'll have had a hot meal, and a warm bed to sleep in the night before." Now, they're clearly not getting those things. They're also stuck in a big metal box, baking in the sun, with nothing but water around them. Can you imagine how you'd survive spending the entirety of your deployment never leaving the inside of a tank, APC, Humvee, or MRAP? Not even getting the chance to dash into the bushes to take a shit, or spank one out. That's kinda what they have to deal with. Also, the current Secretary of the Navy is a sociopathic nut, who wants sailors willing to "eat their own guts."

I'm hoping that even he isn't that stupid. I mean, even Vladimir Putin realized how bad that would be. But with Donald Trump, you never know. He is stupid, arrogant, and stuck back in the 50s when the US could basically get away with anything. He is by far the most ignorant and irresponsible president the US has ever had. And if he actually does it, all those who voted for him share the blame, and even those who didn't vote against him, either by abstaining or by throwing their vote away on a candidate who had no chance of winning, are partly responsible as well.

As far as politics were concerned I was talking about idiots arguing with idiots. I didn't realize you identified with that group. As for hope for the future, I fear it will not be in our lifetime. we (the human race) are just at the beginning of the next stage of human evolution. I hope. no, I know it will be better. it will have some drawbacks, but humans will get over it. again. but, this change will take several hundred years.
