That's awesome. I'd love to see it with more granular gradations. It's really interesting to see visual evidence of how much faster sea travel was than land, reflected in the shapes of the contour lines in Africa (especially the Indian Ocean coast) and South America (especially the Pacific coast).
Corrupt as fuck? Possibly. But the NYPD itself isn't exactly a shining beacon of integrity. I'm guessing the new mayor is in desperate need of an ally within the NYPD if he wants to accomplish any sort of meaningful cleanup or reform, someone who'll answer to the mayors office instead of the police union.
True, but ... surely in a city of 8.4 million people, there are candidates who fit the bill and aren't the mayor's brother.
Who can't be convinced to switch loyalties, either with bribes or threats? Maybe. Maybe not. I imagine it's the closest the new mayor can get to actually appointing himself to the position. I'll reserve judgment until it's shown this guy is considerably worse at the job than his predecessors.

Beat me to it. Most trump supporting celebrities were just as against the war in Vietnam as the Liberals were. Also, Johnny Cash did some flip-flopping after 2001. He was pro-Native American and pro-diversity and antiestablishment back in the 60s and 70s.
