Yes, FDIC is a fiscally responsible thing to have. I think there’s an argument to be made though that the Federal Reserve can’t be trusted. It was their policy early on that contributed to the Great Depression after all.

The main problem with the Fed's actions in the Great Depression was that it didn't do enough.

Not sure how that's an argument for eliminating it.

Like I said, there’s an argument to be made on both sides. I’d argue that not so much that they didn’t do enough, but rather the decisions they made were a valiant effort, but not what the economy needed at the time. I’ll admit my research/knowledge is rusty, but if we’re talking the past forty/ fifty years, I’d say the Fed has become a very untrustworthy institution. Both parties are to blame for this so don’t even go with Republicans, blah, blah, blah. Greenspan, Yelchin and Geitner are all crony capitalists.

Has Biden released the K-Pop stans?

You might remember that their stans humiliated Velveeta Voldemort.

It looks the same if you start giving more equal treatment, and that is the point. They were getting boosted over all and now they should fall back down to avegerage. However, the shallow will see it as punishment because they do not have any incentive to see the truth.

    Sometimes the truth hurts.

    Let's try this:

The EPA was founded in response to a series of highly publicized environmental disasters, but Deepwater Horizon still happened. Therefore, the EPA should be abolished.

The U.S. intelligence community is supposed to help prevent terrorist threats, but 9/11 still happened. Therefore the agencies that are part of the intelligence community should be disbanded.

The boy is a constitutionalist. That means women and blacks don't vote. MAGA so the boy doesn't have to compete with 90 percent of the people around him for a job.

And neither is the right to privacy, according to Justice Alito, because the Constitution doesn't specifically mention the word "privacy," either in the main body, or the various Amendments.

For all his various faults, Thomas Jefferson was really big on science. If he'd have been better at managing his money than he was, he'd have come up with the metric system before the French did. (Seriously, he was trying to figure out a better system than the Imperial one we inherited from the Brits, but had to give up on it because he fucked up and was about to lose everything he owned.) Were a time traveler to have shown up after Jefferson became President and told him that less than 150 years after Jefferson had died, the first Americans would set foot on the Moon, you can bet your ass Jefferson would have asked WTF he could do to speed the process up, Constitution be damned. Dude didn't give two shits about the Constitution when it came to the Lousiana Purchase (which many argued violated the Constitution).

We live in a world vastly different than the one the Founders did, and in many ways, one that they could have never imagined. There are things that they got right, and there are things that they got wrong. A number of them would have been appalled at the idea of folks saying the word "fuck" as casually as most of us do now. Does that mean we should prohibit the use of the word? I don't think so, and I'm sure that you'll agree.

So why should we rigidly adhere to ideas about the Constitution when those responsible for the founding of this nation didn't always do so? Both John Adams, and his son, John Quincy Adams, had some good ideas about what a government should be, but they also kinda sucked ass as actual Presidents.

Ugh, no. That looks like repressed sexual angst - basically modern American christianity. Democrats want sweat pants and a muscled beacon of attentive manhood bringing me food and drinks all day.

    Basically, my current vacation.

Here’s the latest from ya boy Andy Ngo:

He’s gone from just selective editing (cutting the part of the tape where the fascist attacks protesters with a hammer, them taking it away and only showing the protestors throwing it back at the fascist) to outright photoshopping.

    What a… ‘journalist’…

I'm sorry, but I see no place in that pic where Ted Wheeler could have been gassed :bailey:
