    Homer's The Odyssey.
Apparently, the reviews of Ralph Fiennes' version are less than stellar.

His last two movies blew serious chunks, so what's there to look forward to?

And I'm aware that Oppenheimer won all kinds of awards. So did Shakespeare in Love and a bunch of other films that no one gives a shit about.

There was a trailer attached to the new Jurassic World movie. Threw us for a loop because it came on after the "coming soon" stuff.

I stand by my comments. It looks like it will blow chunks. I hope I'm wrong, because I do like some of Nolan's films. I think Interstellar is a flawed masterpiece. But it was right around that time that Nolan started to drink his own pee (and Hollywood and fanboys are happy to lap up the splashes).

The trailer seems to be getting a lot of criticism, based on the colour pallette and lack of historical fidelity.

I'm interested in whether there's any reference to Astyanax or how they cover the other HOLY SHIT THAT'S EVIL stuff that Odyseus is said to have done.

Astyanax isn't mentioned in The Odyssey, and the only "HOLY SHIT THAT'S EVIL" stuff I can recall in The Odyssey is when Odysseus retakes his home and executes the slave women who'd been banging the suitors. Mind you, Greek mythology is filled with all kinds of tales of infants growing up to kill the person who killed their parents (regardless of if the original killing was considered "justified" under the culture of Greeks of that era), so one can understand Odysseus not wanting to take any chances of someone killing him when he's elderly. Funny how the folks who object to that, don't object to the fact that Odysseus owned slaves to begin with. Slavery and murder go hand-in-hand with one another, inexorably tied together the way the moon is to the Earth.

You're like a week and half too late. People have already roasted Nolan for the armor. I personally don't care that the armor is wrong, I care more about getting the story right. The Mycenaean armor would look cool though.

I'll obviously reserve judgement until I see it but some of the criticisms of the trailer material ring true. The Oddysey is not a story about determined individualism and Greek mythology tends to view this kind of outlook as hubris.
