Obama set the precedents for cracking down on protestors (Occupy Wall Street), extra-judicial drone assassinations, and repealing habeas corpus. He also proved financial criminals are inviolable even when they crash the entire world's economy and war criminals need not worry about prosecutions despite Obama himself admitting "We tortured some folks".

Biden tried to set up a 'Ministry of Truth' that only failed in that incarnation because the person tasked to head it was exposed as a loon. He also made us complicit in a genocide then cracked down on protestors and oversaw the passage of legislation equating anti-zionism with anti-semitism (by this point itself defined as any criticism of "israel" or its policies).

Each administration renews/makes permanent the advances of authoritarianism perpetrated by the administrations before it and then pushes the envelope even farther.

Everything Trump has done in both his first and second presidencies has been enabled by previous regimes.

Trump isn't an anomaly, or an aberration.
He's the inevitable result of a decades-long march to this place.
Removing Trump doesn't fix *any* of it.
Only systemic, fundamental change can begin to repair the damage.
We won't get that from democrats; they helped create the mess we're living in today.

If understanding all of this means having a "mental problem" then yeah, I'm certifiable.
