gosh i see cops all the time driving around in cop cars (that makes em cops right???) they seem to wear blue uniforms (city cops) but all the tactical gear is in the trunk not hung from their dicks. where i live the Sherriff's wear green uniforms with cowboy hats and what do you know their tactical gear is in the trunk also gosh the FHP wears tan uniforms and cowboy hats. where the hell do you live in a white boy ghetto??????? until the people you love got in charge only the SWAT teams dressed up in tactical gear and that was for special operations now they roam the streets looking for people even if they are in a wheel chair to roust. are you completely self unaware??????? SO MASKS and TACTICAL gear were not common until the trump gestapo got incorporated

    This is a lie.

The standard M4 used by U.S. troops is not fully automatic.

It has three modes: Safe, Semi and Burst (three rounds).

Only Special Operations has full auto M4s.

It's not a lie. You're exploiting some nuance to call me a liar when you know that burst fire is automatic fire.

The point is, the M4 is not semi-automatic only. Right?

Fully automatic means that with one pull of the trigger the weapon will continue to fire until all ammunition is expended yes?

    You don't.

The original Armalite AR-15 was designed in the 50s, but not marketed until 1959. The Colt AR-15 has been marketed since 1964.

So, if you want to split hairs, the AR-15 has been sold to civilians for 61 of the 66 years it's been available.

No, it means it fires continually with a sustained press of the trigger. Which the M4 does for 3 rounds in its burst mode.

Ok, we get it, your weapons aren't military grade and thus can't accomplish your stated goal of keeping society free from military oppression .

It's fully automatic fire that terminates after three rounds. Or fewer if you release the trigger before the 3 round cycle is complete.

But whatever you want to call it, it isn't semi-automatic.

Build a gun with burst capability and you'll be prosecuted under the NFA's provisions for fully automatic firearms.

    Not really.

The weapons are either able to stand up against military hardware, in which case it's some pedantic irrelevant gun nerd shit on whether or not it's military grade hardware, or they're not.

If you imagine armed resistance would take the form of Bubba standing out in a field with his AR-15 as Apache helicopters bear down on him, you don't know how insurgencies work.

And the argument that "your civilian guns aren't any good against the military" is an argument against gun control, not for it.

Everyone knows that fully automatic means that with one pull of the trigger the weapon will continue to fire until all ammunition is expended.

If you know what you’re doing, it’s not hard to modify an AR-15 to full-auto.

Okay, you don't get to criticize me for splitting hairs when the entire crux of your arguments has relied on very specific interpretations of things like mask wearing.
Beyond that, you still haven't addressed the question of:
Why are ICE wearing masks, fatigues, and refusing to identify themselves?

So I have had both kinds of M4s (burst and full auto) and also just an outright machine gun (M249 SAW).

The burst M4 I was issued when I first got to Iraq.

It took about a week for my squad leader to recognize I wasn’t a dumbass and I was a good shot so then I got the machine gun.

As the manual says the SAW goes to the next most senior person behind the squad leader but in reality it goes to least most person who can actually shoot so that went to me.

I was a Replacement. I was a Cherry. I only served 8 months in Iraq while the rest of my unit did 18.

So yeah I got roughed up and I carried all the C4 and all the Hooligan Tools and the machine gun and all the ammo because I hadn’t been there and done my time.

And I’m fast forwarding but then once I went to Special Operations I did have a fully automatic M4.

Only once did I ever use full auto in my entire time in the military.

    Full auto is bad!

    Don’t fucking do it!

Like for real y’all water and ammo are the most precious things and you shouldn’t waste either of them.

I was a machine gunner, in Iraq, during the Surge, in the unit that was putting out fires and I literally only used full auto once.

So with my machine gun (M249 SAW) we were trained to use a 3-5 round burst: Say Die Hajji Die and you’ll get 3-5 rounds.

However in Yusifiya while fighting against Al Queda in Iraq we got hit with a complex ambush.

First truck saw the IED so it didn’t hit us but when we all stopped they attacked.

We were all in an irrigation canal but my squad leader told me to suppress a hill top (there was a maneuver element going around the back of it) and I didn’t know what he meant. How do you suppress a hill?

He told me to shoot every piece of hilltop I could see until I ran out of ammo and I did.

Wrong. And I'm astonished that someone who was in the military could be so ignorant about the weapons they used.

It can fire until ammunition is expended. Or until the shooter releases the trigger.

Or in the case of the M4, until the burst mechanism disconnects after three rounds. Of automatic fire.
    I'm neither lying nor wrong.

Do you think every time someone fires on full-auto, the fire can only stop when ammunition is depleted?

    The National Firearms Act.

From what I'm reading through various gun authorities:

Burst mode on a semi-automatic is not automatic, because the gun is a semi-automatic.
Burst mode on an automatic isn't automatic, but the gun is.
Burst mode is the intermediate, and sits in between semi-automatic and automatic.

In short, this goes back to what I said which is that Paladin is very general in his responses, but demands specificity from you when you reply, and he will always do a vague end run or wishy washy explanation to nudge the goalposts.

Then he does the stupid shit he does above and "accepts surrender" like the failson of an idiot who consults AI.

He never argues in good faith, and the only difference between him and UA is his tone.
