Steve pretty much says that this is the best LT/live action film and more or less says "Back in Action" was...fine. I dissent! This was pretty entertaining and certainly miles better than the Space Jam movies, but Back in Action is a riot and I'll tolerate no disrespect.
Just got back from this, and whoever tried binning it as a tax write-off should all be driven into the sea to drown. It's the kind of genuinely warm and fun film Adam Sandler thinks he makes. True, anyone who didn't grow up with Looney Tunes is going to miss a lot of the humour, but it's the kind of film you can just enjoy. It's a real shame Ketchup isn't kitted out to market it properly, hopefully it does well in cinemas, and word of mouth makes it a hit on streaming when it hits there.
Just saw it. It was fantastic. Theater left the lights on for five minutes and didn’t zoom the film to fit the screen for ten minutes but otherwise all good. After the movie I saw the theater was playing wrath of Kahn next. Looked on fandango while in the lobby and they had sold zero tickets to the showing. Had the kids with me so didn’t make it a double feature (triple since space seed was being shown first).
Saw the first ~45 minutes but a kid wasn’t feeling well so I had to take her home and then go back and pick up folks. Only caught the first part. I liked what I saw. My partner and other child both loved it.
