The more I see conservatives resisting CRT, the more I am determined to help see it be taught in all grade levels from 4th grade up to college. It's time white supremacy came to terms with what it has done, no matter how much it kicks and screams.

I resist it because it's indoctrination, not education. It's based on the 1619 project which is highly problematic when teaching young impressionable minds. Now I understand nobody here on WF has a problem with it because this place is highly left leaning, but WF does not align with the rest of reality.

You realize that 4th grade is about the time many kids start learning history in the classroom, correct? Unless you only want some history taught and not other parts of history. What would that be and why?

The United States is built upon slavery and white supremacy. The founding fathers consisted of mostly rich, white, land owning, slave holding men. This is not a difficult concept for children to grasp, and it will help them recognize white supremacy in our modern day society. I believe THAT is what really frightens conservatives. People might figure out it was never about "states rights," or if they do figure it out, a state's right to do what?

And the only counter to that is "white supremacy is GOOD because (insert pseudo-science and sophistry)".

I've disagreed with Diacanu before, and while I've thought at those times that his interpretation of the facts at hand might be incorrect, I've never seen him outright lie or knowingly share false information like Federal Farmer has.

In general, teachers are taught how to teach; teachers do not teach kids how to teach. Their curricula are different. You need to show the curriculum is CRT to actually make your point.

To add to your point, teachers are taught more than just basic math to get their degrees, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're teaching algebra and trigonometry to first graders.

You know I was going to mention that but, uh… I don’t know if that’s actually true currently. I had an acquaintance teaching 2nd grade who could not do basic algebra to save her life. I have no idea how she got her degree. That said, I do assume teachers are taught basic child psychology, but are not teaching that to their students.
