Zhe is whatever zhe wants to be.
Except funny or intelligent.
starts with B, ands with N
backwards, that's "NB"
I think we've cracked the case!
Face it, if I waved a magic wand, and Fox, Infowars, and all the Youtube scum stopped with the fear and hate, and started saying we should respect everyone's identity, and should be compassionate, and not use religion as an excuse to hate, FF and UA and those like them wouldn't get better, they'd reject those sources, and just go deeper down the white supremacy rabbit hole for their hate.
They want the hate.
They love the hate.
It's a drug.
It's not about "oh, the hate is so logical".
They can scream about logic until they cough up blood.
They were never argued to this shit, they felt their way to it.
And they aren't going to feel their way out of it unless something really extreme happens, like their gang turns on them, and hurts someone they love, or assrapes them in prison, or something like that.
The proof of it is, there already are the moderate conservative voices out there.
They're rare as fuck anymore, but they exist.
You think FF & UA watch 'em?
FF has resisted the urge to give this dumbrep.
Right at three and a half hours since his last check-in.
Maybe he's pacing himself.
So this was the thread that drove the kid over the edge, eh? He couldn't handle be treated the same way he wants the authorities to treat trans kids for less than a day?
I'm glad he's dead.
Not sure where to put this.
This is totally appropriate for children.
What's not mentioned in the article is that it depicts a transgender kid giving a blowjob to another kid.
Is it porn? Or is it no different from the descriptions of heterosexual sex that I read in numerous books in middle school and high school, some of which were in the school library?
It's listed for 14-15 year olds.
At 14-15 my local library quite happily lent me the Mission: Earth books by L. Ron Hubbard in which an alien is raped by several lesbians who are turned because of his surgically enhanced dick, and is blackmailed by them by tricking him into fucking an underage girl.
It’s literally a picture of a transgender person giving another person a blow job. Straight up porn.
Oh, for fuck's sake.
You can see all the "pornographic" illustrations on this blog, which was written by someone who's against the book so you can be sure they didn't cut anything out:
Oh so you want to play the definition game. No thanks.
No, I want to show you the actual source material that you're bitching about, rather than what you've heard some low-budget Tucker Carlson wannabe describe it as during an unhinged YouTube rant.
You just linked to the damn book.
It's got comic depictions of explicit sex acts, and not in a clinical manner. Yes, I can understand why many parents would not want this available to their minor children.
If a straight man was handing this out to children on the street he'd be arrested.
Women probably aren't as concerned about the optics of this as they aren't automatically assumed to be predators. The overwhelming majority of librarians in the US are female.
But the standard should be the same IMO.
If I were on a school board I'd vote to remove this work, but ask the librarians to see if there are other works that can cover the topic from an informational standpoint that can't be construed as child erotica.
If your child is interested in this and you think it is appropriate they have access to it that's your decision. It's something else to make that decision for all the other parents in the entire school district.
They're "blowing" a strapon!
When I was 13-14, we had a sex-ed book called "changing bodies, changing lives" and it had masturbation diagrams, sex diagrams, how to clean and maintain your junk, and how to check for cancer, etc, etc.
And lest you think "oh, but it was all clinical" it had pretty explicit text interviews with kids describing what they did with their partners.
There was no moral panic about this book.
Because the sex was hetero-normative.
Funny how that works...
We didn't have anything like that and I'm sure it wouldn't have been allowed.
Of course, the internet didn't exist so most people didn't know what they didn't know.
Did you read the book? or did you just hear that account on Fox News? or some other totally unbiased jackass?
The "porn" ship has kind of sailed, so long as that constant access to a smartphone is considered a basic human right for the little bastards.
"Who made that vebatim statement? Post a notarized affidavit! "
Looks more like an informational book for junior high age students. Much of what is in the article at the link tafkats provided is exactly what was being discussed in the hallways of every junior high across America. It's about time someone put it in an informational book.
Yup. It'd take an exceptionally delusional parent to believe their kids haven't already seen far more explicitly pornographic things online by that age.
But it's not really about the kids, it's about painting stigmatizing certain groups as perverts that are out to corrupt and abuse the children. Please won't someone think of the children?
I read the relevant information and I heard about this on Real Time, not Fox News.
Oh, yeah, there was an Usborne book when I was a teen that had a dick going into a vagina, but all cutaways showing the tubes. And hetero, so again, fine.
Well yeah it sailed long before the internet, but it shouldn’t be in the school library.
So is there a rule about when we can and can't use anecdotes to support our arguments?
Where should it be? hiding in the closet? secretly shared in the hallways?
I'm not sure you understand the definition of "anecdote". https://a6769.myubam.com/
Same here. Probably not the same book, but plenty of the same content.
Let's not lose sight of what this is really about: conservatives don't want kids who are different from them to have the comfort of knowing that they aren't alone. Instead, they want those kids to grow up miserable and repressed so that they won't make any straight white conservatives uncomfortable with their mere existence.
Everyone knows where to find the information they are looking for. That doesn't mean that information is appropriate for children in schools.
